Build a platform first, you need plywood for the centre layers and rubber on top of plywood for the sides. I just use wood and carpet at the sides and it works but I avoid dropping from overhead... You can stick a rack on the platform if you like or build more flooring for the rack, depends on what you want. I just use a platform with the rack on it and do dumbbell work on concrete in front of the rack. Works fine. I also use carpet instead of rubber under the whole platform so that the plywood forms a solid base. No problems for the past 12 years. Definitely get a full power rack and an adjustable bench as it allows you to do pretty much anything you want without killing yourself. And if you aren't getting any sort of pulley set up then get a set of bands as you can so a lot with them, a barbell, some dumbbell handles and a s**t load of plates. Also keen on a pair of odins for my elbows, never used fabric sleeves before, elbows are 38cm approx again advice on sizing would be good as i havnt got a clue on fabric sleeves. Cheers | ||

Cheers Yes, should be fine with the XXL Rehband knee sleeves. Odin sleeves are mega stiff, so little give in them I'd say for 38cm elbows you'd need XXXL knee sleeves. The size guide indicates larger than this for the knees, but takes into account the fact that the knee is a bigger joint, and it's much easier to pull them up onto them knees. | ||

The minis are bigger than I was expecting, same size as the Iron woody or Jump Stretch Super/Monster mini band (slightly thicker and more resistance). Is this right or are the wrong ones in the box (they are purple if that is of any help. I compared with an Iron woody mini I have and they are def thicker. The difference between Minis and Monster minis is the Monsters are the same width but a fraction thicker. If they are as they are supposed to be any chance I can send them back for a couple of Iron woody minis (plus the extra cash of course and they are unused). If I use these doubled for speed benching I'm liable to kill myself... Also, like the dumb git I am I ordered a size 10 Loki as I wear an 11 Ironwork 2 but they are predictably still a size too big so can I send them back for a 9? Feel like a good shoe, but even done up quite tight my foot was still all over the place. Only worn the right one once in the house to check so they are in new condition. Dave | ||
