Cheers Rick, I`ve been frustrated with the pressing bench for a few months now but finally felt a shift in strength on it in this session.
Rick27/05/08 @ 14:04
To bench the weights you do in the form you do (i.e. pretty flat back, little or no leg tension) is pretty amazing anyway tbh Mark. With a bit of an arch and some leg drive you could put up some genuinely scary raw numbers, and I bet you have the lockout power to rock a shirt with a bit of practice too .

actually, how can it be a world record, jnr in scotland does 150 as well... Hmmm... maybe thats just in IFSA sanctioned comps.
Anyway, just to give perspective, its world class s**t you are pressing already!

That's a sweeeet push press, nice one. Log keeps creeping up too, good stuff. Joni, don't forget our very own 'Baldy' has done 160kg at not much over 105kg:
But I see no reason why Cleggy couldn't be pushing for a WR in the not too distant future. With a 210kg overhead, surely anything is possible!
About the atlas stones, Joni is right, tacky helps a lot and the movement you describe has got to be harder than lifting a real stone. Only one way to find out - get your arse down to the dungeon!

They're good. They have Rob Frampton (gym owner) who finished 2nd (I think!) at last years' UKs, Rich Gorvin (just qualified for the finals of BSM), Paul Cator (crazy strong lightweight) as well as plenty of other crazy mofo's who are all strong bas***ds.
Why don't you try getting all the equipment together, keep it stored at your gym, advertise on the net for a strongman training group, and watch your numbers grow. That's what basically happened at my place. Started off with just a couple of us (and still is sometimes) and grew into sometimes having nealy 15 of us going at it.
