Shirted bench

Warmed up to 170 raw then shirt on

4 board 210 x 3
3 board 210 x 3
2 board 210 x 3
1 board 210 x 3 well just about got last one

I did some pulldowns and other shoulder and tricep stuff

The whole point of the workout was to avoid any stress on knees as they have been tiered all week and I wanted to rest them up

I was supposed to again train only upper body as on Friday I have my final assessment at physiotherapy and I wanted to have fresh knees so I look good enough to get my discharge papers
But Ken forced me into training with him !!

Front squats

60k x 3
60k x 3
100k x 3
100k x 3
120k x 3
140k x 1
160k x 1
180k x 1
190k x 1
These where fun I just front squat so natural I loved doing them again brought back some good memories of me doing some big numbers
All sets had a 2 second pause at bottom as I am trying to make sure I don't bounce, all so all done with no belt or wraps


13 inch deads
Hate this height it's almost as bad as18 for me

60x 3
100k x 3
140k x 3
180k x 3
220k x 3
260k x 3 belt on
300k x 1 was gonna go heavier but dropped back for a triple
280k x 3

These felt s**te worked up to 120k for 3

Looking at this on paper it's a good workout for me but if felt like a great one

Time to break in the new deadlift suit
Had a few goes in the new metal king at partial hight but I had a good from the floor today, was feeling a bit flat and a little sore still from my front squats

60k x 3
110k x 3
160k x 3
210k x 3
250k x 2 suit up no belt
290k x 1 no belt a quite fast
310k x f belt on and it through me
Decided to listen to Ken and what he did with fusion dropped weight back with belt on to get used to it
290k x 1
270k x 2
250k x 3
Was getting the hang of it but was shattered, my knees still don't feel great pulling from sitting right in but it will come soon enough now that the vmos are responding well to leg training

Silver dollar deadlift
Was warm so started at a decent weight
275k x 1
315k x 1
355k x 1
375k x f/f/f was so close to getting a pb in the second attempt but back was done in from previous deadlifting
Almost got a draw with Ken but only by default cause he missed 405k !!

Yoke
My legs where like jelly on the plate at this point so just took it easy

Took my time with these and made sure I worked the right places

Karlsen squats
This used to be a big fave of mine pre injury and just as I was gonna finish up I had a go
60k x 6
60k x 6
100 x 6 these felt good got brave
140k x 6 again nice was making sure I took my time and did not bounce
180k x 6 was well chuffed with that 6 plates a side down from my pb but defo a good foundation

Finished with monster drop set for calves

Really pleased with front squats, and karlesens I also thinkni am gonna get some good lifts out of my new suit, looking forward to march hoping for some awesome training sat will be one year to the day I snapped both knees and it's been a tough year but I look back on it with mixed emotions and I feel stronger and wiser for it

cheers guys loving the weights getting less gay.
every workout i get a buzz as i am kinda getting PBs all over the place, and for months i have been using little weights and saying to myself i used to warm up with that bla bla.
so every time you get closer to your pre-injury numbers its a rush, front squatting the 190k i was smiling for about 3 days

the big benchmarks for me right now is post injury
700lb deadlift
600lb squat
260k bench
and bodyweight overhead

Decided to give my upper body a rest to let shoulder problem fix as it's been bothering me for two months and I got bored training round it

So back to lower body again

Front squats
60k x 3 60k x 3 100k x 3 100k x 3 140k x 3 160k x 1 180k x 1 210k x f all sets no belt or wraps put wraps on for 210 and it threw me prob had it in me without them

Back squats 100k x 3 100k x 3 140k x 3 180k x 4 all done no belt or warps and all done with a pause at bottom

Deficit deadlifts 100k x 3 100k x 3 150k x 3 200k x 3 240k x 3 all done from 5 inch and with very narrow foot position no belt

Plyometric jumps !!!! Worked from 18inch to about 30inch this was the toughest and most satisfying thing I have done post injury was such a mind f**k

Karlsen squats 100k x 3 140k x 3 180k x 3/140k x 3/100k x 3/60k x 3 drop set

Leg extension 2 plates very slow reps up and down for 3 sets of 20

Overal great session only down point was silly idea for knee wraps on front squats but plyometrics was a big big steping stone for me mentally and physically

Although spotting you can be terrifying. Watching you lift is awesome but when something happens mid-squat it results in a skipped heart beat.

Yeah I can imagine but think of the adrenaline your generating s**tting it that is why your getting PBs all the time spotting me is like a shot of pcp

Guystraining going awesome last week or so !!

Have hit 120k log strict, 130k barbell strict, 160k farmers, pressed 80 90 and 100k stone, 200k front squat not belt or wraps 230k back squat raw also and I almost benched 200k for a triple in kens sling shot

So sorry I have not updated journal but having time of my life gonna makeva wee video up stay tuned
