understanding of the sport, little he has. Member 798, 9943 posts SQ 260, BP 150, DL 272.5682.5 kgs @ 82.5kgs UnEq | Last year (on the Saturday anyway) they spilt the flights up into two groups ran it like two separate competitions So in the morning flights 1 - 3 all squat, bench then deadlift. In the afternoon flights 4-5 squat, bench then deadlift - I was in flight five and I don't think I started lifting until around 14:30 and was done and dusted for around 16:00

I actually quite liked it to be honest - I find I normally perform better when the turnaround time between Squat / Bench / Deads is only 45 mins or so. I find it a very long day if I do my fist squat at 10:30 and my last deadlift at 17:00, even though you do get shed loads of rest this way....

percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | We have the facility to run two platforms no problem.Arranged in such a way that spectators can watch the action on both with the two platforms and sets of referees screened from seeing each other.Resourcing referees and spotters is the challenge. I am currently discussing the options with the BDFPA Technical Officer Andy Davies AND WE WILL MAKE A DECISION THIS WEEKEND.I prefer 2 or 3 flights at one time(no more than four) going All squat/bench/deadlift.Using only one platform could make it a very late end to the day for the second three flights(75 and 82.5 on Saturday), who may start as late as 3pm. On two platforms each weightclass could lift at the same time in two flights decided by lifters previous best performance.(I have this data). One flight on each platform lifting at the same time. This will enable the days lifting to finish at 5.30pm approx and the presentation to be over by 6.00pm .The International rules now make it mandatory to run all flights squat then bench then deadlift but I assume this does not apply to us Nationally. A lot to consider.Decision this weekend.Weigh in will remain at 8-9.30pm for all as it stands at the moment.Arrangements for lifters reporting will remain the same as well .Sorry no absolute decision yet.l am interested in all ideas but we can only make one decision. Decision to be made and published this weekend.Lifters opportunity to be successful will be at the centre of the decision making within any resource limitation we may anticipate. Entry is very good and exciting.Just over two weeks to go. Regards to all, Paul

Regards to all, Paul The other reason I like a single platform is that it focuses the crowds attention and makes it feel much more like 'an event' as opposed to just a lot of lifting going on....... I appreciate that a single platform does slow things down, however I thought that it worked extremely well last year
