How come people dislike Poundstone so much? although us 'internet lifters' only see what hes like on tv, i think he comes across ok. Although a little too self assured. I suppose only people like Terry would know whats hes really like! surely his injury isnt going to be bulls**t, there was loads of pics of his leg swollen up masively. Plus alot of the competitors are putting out vids to kind of play mind games with the others, to show them what they've got. So i wouldnt think poundstone would make up an injury as its a confidence booster to all the other guys.

For me - and I may not be the only one - Poundstone's exuberant arrogance and endless explanations/excuses are rather unpleasant. I find humility and stoicism far more endearing. To be the best and quietly modest (e.g. Savickas) is far more impressive than pro-wrestling posturing. Plenty of cultural issues at stake here - irrespective of Poundstone's great and proven talents.

i wouldn't say there was never an injury but wouldn't be surprised if this is a little bit of mind games. i'm sure come wsm he will be there to win and the injury won't play any part apart from in his interviews

Well said Sir!

Poundstone may be a great guy in person, but the TV persona etc etc... not for me.
