leeboy said:the thing is my squat is terrible, at one point i could almost bench more than i sqauted. i would like some input about what kind of training i should go for, ive tried....

warm ups then 5 sets of 5 at 140. these destroyed my knees and i could only do them once a week

warm ups then like 3 reps 1 set for 100 120 150 160 then as many one off 180 as i can. these hurt less so i can do them every 4 days or so

so what do you think should i just stick with the 5 sets of 5 and try to build the weight up?. there will be a video coming soon for advice on technique.

The solution: 31 day squat. YOu will never see a squat the same way before. I thid this for 45 days or somthing, it will help you find your groove, but it will be hard and fun.

haha i say it because someone might read the title, then read my bodyweight and say: -yeah sure, in a shirt- or something... im thinking in the new people that might be entering the site and does not know me.

Bench Press (no warmup)
120 x 6
120 x 5

Bench Press
90 x 5
110 x 3
120 x 3
130 x 3 (Tie PR) @ 67

Deadlift (Just to test if squats transfers to deadlift)
50 x 1
90 x 1
130 x 1
170 x 1
200 x 2 (Squats can replace deadlifts no problem)

It's been like 2 or 3 months since i dont deadlift at all, and i can still pull 200kg
which is now 3 times my bodyweight ! Not bad...

Bench Press (No warmup)
120 x 5 x 2

Push Jerk
50 x 5
90 x 5
110 x 5 (PR @ 67)

This PR took me a LOT of training to get, now the hardest part will be to keep it for 3 weeks or something till it gets somewhat easy so i can jump to 120kg workouts.

I KNOW i will drop to 4 again mabe in the next workouts, that's ok, the goal now is to do 5 reps with this at least once a week.

» Squat stance (Go to post)09-03-2011 @ 22:35
narrow stance looked better in terms of back not rounding at bottom, but both were at the same depth.
» tlast2O12dude Light and Strong ! (Go to post)09-03-2011 @ 22:23
Bench Press
120 x 5 x 2

90 x 5
130 x 5
150 x 5
160 x 7 (PR)
170 x 2

tz1127 said:Shaun: Who can squat 250 raw at 69? Just curious.... Because in the UK, the top powerlifter at that sort of weight (Rodney Hypolite) squats about 220 raw (no wraps). And doesn't Kev squat around 230 raw as a light 70ish guy? I'm assuming that guy isn't British?

Bulgarian Boevski back squats 250 @ 69kg
