I got scared and cut my butternut squash off the vine. Left a lot of stem attached. 3kg/6.5lbs from a pure f1 butternut squash. Only had one fruit, but left the one on from the far end of the vine, and used bonemeal too. It's a BEAST and hadn't fully ripened yet.

I guess this boomshell wont be reported on BBC. So here it is for those who only get single narrative news coverage...

As regular readers will expect, it won't be on the BBC because the bits that are true aren't interesting and the bits that aren't true are bo***cks. I would write a full pull-apart, but that would be a waste of everybody's time, so I shan't. The TLDR is, though: indeed they didn't know after the first phase of trials whether it would reduce transmission (because it worked so well that almost no trial participants caught it, so there was no data), but of course it was reasonable to assume it would. They didn't claim it would, and were heavily criticised at the time for not doing so. Now we know that (as anybody would expect) it is remarkably safe, and highly effective, even against the variants. Ends.

I have so far tolerated this stuff in this thread, although you have been warned not to post COVID conspiracies on the site. It will NOT be tolerated elsewhere.

Totally disagree with you Rick. But undestood

But what i mainly wanted to say to you Rick is this. Knowing how much you disagree with the interpretation of that video and i would argue, all the videos Ive posted here from GB news... you didnt remove them. I have a lot of respect for that.

The idea of this thread is to help people navigate and discuss the world wide economic collapse with money saving/ growing your own food and preping sharing of ideas and help. Will try to avoid the covid...I think most people have made their own minds up by now anyhow.

Getting back on topic - one fig tree pruned back hard, and one cherry tree pruned back hard. Pulled up a few Daikon radishes and celery, made a pickle. Tomato beds got bucketfuls of homemade compost/mulch to encourage more worms.

the farm shop just hiked eggs for a second time...was 4 quid for 30- 2 months ago now 5 quid. they can barely stand the rising cost of feed and are petrified they will lose their flock to bird flu...

Havent put the heating on or lit the fire yet. Bit parky may need the fire on soon...

Ive just been spending on things we think we will need before they get to expensive. Its good to have spare essentials like kettles.

oh reminds me...we boil the kettle in the morning then flask the water which stays hot for hot drinks throughout the day to save on kettle use. Kids all have indoor over gowns for their cloths.

Is an "indoor overgrown" more similar to a smoking jacket, a moo dry-robe, or an aurthur dent dressing gown? Probably the moo if it's for keeping warm.

I wear a beige Aran Cardigan or felt/wool overshirt for years. They are the only items that keep me warm on both my motorcycle and sofa. This year I am in fashion in m+s. The sale will simplify my bulk shopping for years. Alas hipsters don't like longjohns.

Nice image of the aran cardigan sir.

the kids have got a zippless fleecy gown they pop on whilst indoors.

I get overheated fast so rarely wear much more than t-shirts. I do however have 3 which I wear for the garden and around the house...all full of holes.

I think its easy to miss-understand someone like myself. Im actually keen to look after our environment - clean water free from pollutants such as micro-plastics, female horemones ect...clean beaches, nice breathing air and lots of green spaces. In contrast, Im sure that the whole net zero is made up by the WEF to reduce our quality of life (a massive land and power grab if you like). I know all dissenting voices must be silenced however, as I say, its not quiet so as black and white as people have been led to think.

In short, Im all for recycling if it saves my family money, increasing our spending power and therefore, quality of life. positive-sum-game.

Leonard Nimoy taking about the coming global freezing( iceage)

Moreover...beware of 'settled' science...

Oh almost forgot why Im here... To talk about Sentia- saw it on GB news...Ive ordered some...and will update when Ive tried it. Obviously, at this point Im sceptical.

https://sentiaspirits.com/products/sentia-red

Its basically a spirit that does not have alcohol content but still get you merry.

Could be a game changer?

Interesting. lots of drugs hit GABA receptors that have quite different effects.
hopefully if it's more a mild 'benzo' type effect, rather than the spinning head, nausea, lairy behaviour inducing effects of ethanol.
