I’d love to see Z compete again, but is he actually comp ready?
I suppose though, with athletes dropping out left, right and centre, he might get the call and an envelope of cash to go and make up the numbers.

He recently won 'the world strongman cup' in Lithuania (whatever that is exactly) and 'the world team strongman cup'. He might not be at his prime but he's already competing and winning competitions again

I read on another form that Zs Instagram said he is working for SBD, not competing. Not sure if that’s as a ref or what? (Maybe someone on Instagram can confirm.) He’s way down in weight. I’d hate to see him be runner up in log ladder or get injured further.

He did 150kg for 8 reps in 60 seconds this week on the log, so he's not in bad shape

Have a look at rep 4 of that video. As much as I love Z I’m not sure he did a set of 8. I’m also not sure why he would lie either though.
He did do a set of 9 earlier in the year mind. And he’s done about 5 comps this year too. Has he said he’s not competing in WSM ever again, or just this year. Much like Shaw I think it’s now or never for Z.

Z is doing Shaw's comp at the end of the year as far as I know.Groups been announced for WSM
Group 3 seems extremely competitive
Mikeneto09/11/20 @ 09:59
So group 3 has been setup for a massive stone-off again....maybe.
Going off ranks Tom should win with Novikov vs Trey Mitchell again. But Novikov could win the group leaving Tom vs Trey. Then Maxime seems like he is crazy good at everything apart from Deadlift...Then Gav Bilton is extremely large.
Every athlete in that heat is of great interest.

According to Colin Bryce the heaviest WSM competitor ever, at 205kg.
I wouldn't say he looks good for it though. Personally.

Group 1 could be tough for Luke with Oberst and Pritchett Group 2 Bish and either Shiv or Felix
Group 3 Tom and Novikov
Group 4 seems straightforward, Caron and Hicks.
Group 5 Shaw and Luke, I can’t see Terry getting in sadly.
