Second session of the week and it was chest and arms...had my daughter with me due to holidays but she was good as gold.
Incline Poliquin Flyes
22kg x 15
32kg x 12 rep pb
32kg x 10
32kg x 10 volume pb
32kg x 8 last week was brutally tough, breezed past that this week. Chest blows up like mad from these, they are literally the best chest movement I have ever done, they feel awesome.
Incline Hammer Press
100kg x 12
80kg x 12
80kg x 10 + 4 + 3 rest pause
Brutal after pre exhausting, so much weaker but the chest fatigues fast which is just what I need, started to develop a dull ache all over chest after second set of these while delts and tris felt fresh, liking this pre exhausting.
Cable X Overs
45kg x 11 rep pb
45kg x 8
45kg x 8 + 8 partials
Strength again massively up and reps were nice and controlled with a pause on the stretch, the blood flowing into chest was immense, felt very good indeed.
Low Cable Standing Flye
25kg x 8
15kg x 15
15kg x 15
15kg x 15
Nice movement...seems to hit inner chest very nicely, lots of very good pain from these.
Incline Bench Press
60kg x 12
80kg x 8
80kg x 8
Chest was just blitzed so could barely manage any weight but all the focus was on chest, delts and tris felt fresh but chest was destroyed, plan is working, will hopefully see some visual difference in a few weeks as I lean out more.
Chest was shaking and stupidly pumped after these exercises, finished it off with some posing to really make it hurt.
Machine Preacher Curls
60kg x 12
60kg x 8
50kg x 10 + 5 + 3 rest pause
Quick bicep blitz, bad one holding up well this week and got some really nice pumps, veins starting to come through all over arms while training now again.
DV Tricep Cable Extensions
17.5kg x 20 huge rep pb
17.5kg x 16
25kg x 8 + 3 + 1 rest pause
Strength gone a little crazy on these, maintained the strict form but jumped from 12 to 20 reps on set 1...I thought I had misloaded but hadn't. Triceps burned like mad from these and were almost painful as they were so pumped.
SSCV
25 mins Incline Treadmill
Job done, average weight this week is again lower than last week and strength continues to go up along slowly with muscle size. Getting comments in the gym now about how different I am looking just 4 1/2 weeks in to my cut. All on point.
Legs tomorrow...280kg x 3 SLDL then destroy quads, hams and calves before more cardio.

Looks good mate. Does your gym have wifi, my kids are always happy when there's wifi . The caravan holiday where we had no wifi or phone reception was one of the most traumatic experiences I've put them, through or so they tell me.

Thanks mate
Yup got the wifi code so she can use her tablet while I lift...she also did 25 mins on the treadmill with me too!
Lol yes I have had similar holidays when my older 2 were young...no wifi = miserable as sin kids!

Turn of events caused last night to be massively stressful, sorted in the end but resulted in a terrible nights sleep. Surprisingly though todays session went well, just tired..
Reverse Band Stiff Leg Deadlifts
140kg x 10
180kg x 5
220kg x 5
260kg x 3
300kg x 5 default pb
340kg x 1 default pb
260kg x 10 default pb
Decided to mix things up a little this week and the bands worked well, hams and glutes were worked very very hard. 340kg moved well, should have doubled it tbh but plenty of room for progression. Very solid reps and I knew I had done them.
High Bar Squats
60kg x 10
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
160kg x 2
180kg x 1
Very very out of practice and the bar sat so high and the closer stance felt very alien but all moved quite nicely despite fatigue from the heavy work beforehand. I must admit I enjoy them and they attack a glaring weakness.
Close Stance Belt Squats
80kg x 12 rep pb
80kg x 12
80kg x 12 volume pb
Reps up again on last week and moving well, had to dig a little deeper for the last set but got them done...quads pumped massively from these.
Seated Leg Curls
75kg x 26 rep pb
75kg x 20
75kg x 16 volume pb
Hamstrings felt tore to shreds after all these reps, the pump was so painful and all sets saw increases in reps.
60 degree Leg Extensions
80kg x 15
80kg x 13
80kg x 12
80kg x 10
superset with
Seated Calf Raises
80kg x 5 rep pb
80kg x 5
80kg x 5
80kg x 6 rep pb and volume pb
Had to superset to get the session finished as had my daughter with me and we needed to be done asap. The 60 degree leg extensions pump quads so much...the constant tension is brutal and feels very good indeed. Seated Calf Raises I increased by 10kg to get some lower rep work in, will stay at this weight nowand build to 10's, calves felt very worked that's for sure, if they grow though that's another thing lol. A fair whack f work banged out very quickly, 1 exercise to the next and back again until all sets done.
Quick ab blitz which I am adding in as I lean out and a few vacuums to finish the weights.
SSCV
25 mins incline treadmill
Utter sweat fest today, dripping with sweat all the way through...i'm sure they appreciated that in Aldi when I called in after lol.
And that was that, tired session but a strong and productive one too. Looking forward to a good sleep tonight then smash a big shoulder and arm session tomorrow. The weekend sees my doing my final assessments to gain my Level 2 Gym Instructor grade then we start Level 3 PT, sooner the better as I have some clients lined up and need the money.

Cheers bud.
Legs are not a weakness..apart from calves but even they are slowly coming on...as I get leaner and waist comes in I will be able to assess better where my weaknesses lie...before I get on stage lolol.
Oxman01/06/18 @ 06:56
Weekly weigh in sees another drop, down to 106.7kg now and waist in another 1/2"...5 weeks in weight down 6.5kg and waist down about 3" in total.
Strength well up, muscle still creeping on...absolute win at the moment!

Barbell Strict Overhead Press
Bar x 20
40kg x 10
60kg x 8
80kg x 5
90kg x 2
100kg x 1
105kg x 1
Push Press
120kg x 1
Back to Strict
80kg x 8
Overhead strength still there, not done barbell overhead in ages so all out of practice too but a comfy 105kg strict and a pretty easy 120kg push press too...though the 120 felt heavy on the clavicles but then that's down to a lack of skill practice. Shoulders are looking huge but training them very hard as I am very blocky due to my years of powerlifting/strongman so the wider I can make myself the better.
Dumbbell Side laterals
24.5kg x 8
24.5kg x 8
24.5kg x 8
Upped the weight and reduced the reps, heavy and hard but keeping the thought on the side delts and moving with the elbows and a good contraction each rep. Delts really felt these.
Side Lateral Cable Raise
15kg x 12 rep pb
10kg x 22
10kg x 20
Reduced weight slightly and repped more, side delts pumped and pumped, such a nice movement.
Reverse Pec Dec
70kg x 13 rep pb
70kg x 12
70kg x 9 vol pb
Rear delts got some nice contractions on and really felt these after.
Machine Shoulder Press
120kg x 12 rep pb
130kg x 6 rep pb
120kg x 8 + 3 + 1 rest pause
Strength rapidly increasing on these and the tension put on to the delt feels really good, delts fatiguing quickly by set 3.
Side Lateral Cable Raise - 45 second rests
10kg x 26
10kg x 17
10kg x 15
10kg x 12 + 5 partials to complete muscular failure
Brutal second time around after heavy pressing, reducing the rest periods made a huge difference, incredible burn and felt it all in side laterals, felt very very good.
Close Grip Pulldowns
90kg x 8
90kg x 8
90kg x 8 + 3 + 2 rest pause
Quick Lat blast to get a little more back work in, felt really good, slow controlled reps with a big stretch.
One Arm Cable Curls
40kg x 12 rep pb
45kg x 8 rep pb
Strength well up again on last week and decent reps, even the bad bicep playing ball.
Cucifix Cable Curls
25kg a side x 20
27.5kg a side x 13
Biceps really filled up with blood from these, found a good angle for them and it worked well, will be doing again for sure.
Rope Pressdown
30kg x 20
35kg x 18
40kg x 12 rep pb
Made some adjustments in my set up and zero elbow pain and more stress on the tricep, much stronger too and I feel like I can make some progress with these now.
SSCV
25 mins incline treadmill to finish proceedings off.
Great session today, huge pumps and strength flowing. Got some planning to do now for my practical assessments tomorrow and revise for my A and P exam sunday, joy lol.

Reading your log is like reading an epic, I'm sure your name should be Dave Tolkien. Loads and loads of work. I'm not surprised you were a bit shaky after that. Also I've noticed you tend to wear a vest on bodybuilding Friday, when in Rome and all that.

Lololol. Loving the volume as always mate, haha, as I get leaner vests will be more and more used, still a bit too chubby to get away with it yet but hey ho lol.
