You may have noticed i;ve moved to doubles from singles as i had run through 2 singles cycles it felt like i needed a change. My aim is to get to 5 to 8 doubles with 135kg then i'll go for a 147.5/150kg PB then start singles again from 135-140kg for 10 singles and work up in weight again. Good start today, 125 has never felt that light. Comp Grip Dead Stop Bench Press - 60 sec rests 94.5% 1rm of 140kg 132.5kg x 1 132.5kg x 1 132.5kg x 1 132.5kg x 1 132.5kg x 1 total reps/weight PB Very pleased with these, comfy lifts and more there but taking it slowish to start this cycle off. Up to 135kg for 5-10 singles next time Paused Comp Grip Speed Bench -80% - 45 sec rests 116kg x 1 116kg x 1 116kg x 1 116kg x 1 116kg x 1 116kg x 1 Trying something different here, going heavier with 80% load and doing singles. Felt nice actually and still moved quickly, they feel quite productive. Nice quick session ended with didtractions and dislocations for shoulder but its feeling pretty good, a bit tight but much improved. Just need to get rid of this illness. Deads tomorrow. | ||

Glad its still a build up week as feeling rough still, i think illness starting to go but eyes have conjunctivitis now too..joy. Fed up being bloody ill and time off has done notj=hing to help, never mind got a decent session in. Deadlift Singles Progression Programme - Week 2 115kg x 10 TNG 137.5kg x 5 TNG 162.5kg x 3 TNG 182.5kg x 2 TNG singles performed with 60 sec rests 207.5 kg x 1 207.5 kg x 1 207.5 kg x 1 207.5 kg x 1 207.5 kg x 1 All easy once again as it should be, quick nice reps. Onto a 240kg single next week then 5 singles with 215kg the week after. Nice slow progression, i can see this programme delivering the results it claims..i hope! Speed Deads - 45 sec rests 175kg x 1 175kg x 1 175kg x 1 175kg x 1 175kg x 1 175kg x 1 Very good reps, good fast speed and accelerated from from bottom to top which i have been trying to concentrate on doing. 18" Deads Progression Programme - Week 2 207.5kg x 5 TNG 232.5kg x 3 TNG 255kg x 2 Again easy sets but nice to get some work in on the hip 'pop'. PMT for Squats - Pin 21 230kg x 25 230kg x 25 Got me breathing heavily today due to cold but felt ok still. Left the power shrugs as struggling with breathing a bit so finished off with lots of banded rows, GM's and some ab work then stretching. Not a bad session, got what was required done and touch wood starting to get better so hoping i get 2 good sessions in to finish the week off. Carb backloading began today with the 10 day minimal (30g) carb a day phase 1. Feels ok so far and expecting to start feeling pretty good on it as i respond well to low carb high fat diets. I'm up 7lbs over the week off, like after a good skipload day, i'm expecting that to drop pretty quickly tbh and possibly a few pounds more then i will re-introduce carbs following training, still need to work out the amounts based on how much weight i drop on phase 1 but tbh i am still going to be very conservative about the amounts i backload with as i am so carb sensitive but i'm hoping for some good results. | ||
