I'm toying with taking calories up on sunday as I haven't cheated once in 7 weeks, might have a few little treats sunday, will see. Anyways, todays session was a great one, strength is just going up and up, its crazy. Reverse Band SLDL 160kg x 10 200kg x 5 240kg x 5 280kg x 3 320kg x 3 rep pb 360kg x 1 PB 300kg x 5 300kg x 5 300kg x 5 volume pb Took a while to warm up as my right hip was very tight but I freed it all up and things started moving very nicely. 320kg felt easy and I had more than 3 there I think but that was a huge pb as it was and I wanted a big single. 360kg moved really nicely...that's 300kg on the floor, 340kg above knee and nearly all 360kg at lockout...hams and glutes really feeling that. My normal deadlift reverse band pb is or should I say was 370kg...very excited with the strength of my pulls recently, despite a big deficit they are flying up. Dropped to 300kg (240kg at bottom) and did some more tempo type pulls...getting a big stretch and a hard ham/glute contraction. Very very pleased here. Narrow Stance Hack Squats - 90 sec rests 40kg x 15 80kg x 12 120kg x 12 rep pb 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 120kg x 10 volume pb Decided after set one to bang out 10 sets, quads were pumped massively, last 3 sets I saw dead relatives I think...standing up between sets got harder and harder, plenty of work done in a short space of time. In a word Brutal. Seated Hamstring Curls - 60 sec rests 70kg x 10 70kg x 10 70kg x 10 70kg x 10 70kg x 10 75kg x 10 75kg x 10 75kg x 10 75kg x 10 75kg x 10 volume pb Hamstrings felt wrecked from about set 6....the volume after the heavy SLDL's before just wiped them out. Feeling a tad rough myself by this point lol. Seated Calf Raise - 2 sec stretch/contraction each rep - 60 sec rest 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 volume pb My calves have to grow soon...these burned like crazy and a ton of volume done pretty quickly. HIIT 7 rounds of 30 seconds on 30 seconds off on Incline Treadmill With battered legs this was fun...upped my speed and got it done, went outside and threw up after, guessing I got the intensity levels for HIIT about right lol! I was intending to nip to the shops and get fuel on way home but my legs were just not functioning and were in a right state so came home...had to stop 3 x on way home to stretch legs though as using the clutch was near impossible ![]() Favourite session of the week tomorrow...delts and arms and more CV ![]() Vid of my stiff legged deads… | ||

Cable Side Lateral raise 15kg x 18 rep pb 17.5kg x 10 rep pb 15kg x 12 15kg x 12 Feeling very strong on these and I am getting better at really getting in to the target muscle, pump was instant. Smith Machine Bradford Press 40kg x 12 50kg x 12 60kg x 8 rep pb 65kg x 5 rep pb Not done these in ages and I forgot just how good they are, the pump was crazy and pre exhausting with the laterals emphasised this, delts blew up...even threw a most muscular pose I on the video lol. Reverse Cable X Overs 15kg x 20 17.5kg x 15 17.5kg x 12 17.5kg x 12 Nice burn to the rear delts here, enjoy this movement. Front Rope Cable Raise 17.5kg x 15 17.5kg x 15 20kg x 15 20kg x 15 Quick hit to front delts, minimal rest, maximum burn with a light weight. Smith Machine Extension/JM Press 20kg x 20 40kg x 15 60kg x 12 80kg x 7 Not done these before so a little trial and error but promising, no elbow or wrist pain and all loaded on to the triceps, good burn from them, will be doing them again for sure. Smith Machine Drag Curls 40kg x 12 40kg x 12 40kg x 12 50kg x 12 55kg x 9 rep pb Felt very good, biceps pump up so well from these. Rope Pressdown 40kg x 10 50kg x 12 rep pb 45kg x 12 40kg x 12 Still moving well and no elbow pain, nice to be able to do this movement again after so long away from it, nice dull ache in triceps. Cable Concentration Curls 35kg x 12 rep pb 35kg x 8 35kg x 8 25kg x 15 Insane pump, painful as hell, feels awesome. SSCV 30 mins incline treadmill Job done, upper body nicely hit, strength going up all round, muscle creeping on without doubt despite my deficit. Weekend off now and probably a cheat or 2 on Sunday for first time in 7 weeks of cutting. Deads Monday, possible rep pb with 300kg on the cards. Good weekend all. Vid.. | ||

On to this weeks first session and hips were very tight from a 4 hour car journey yesterday and was really struggling to get them working...on a deadlift day that's not ideal.... Deadlifts 60kg x 5 100kg x 5 140kg x 5 180kg x 5 220kg x 2 260kg x 1 280kg x 1 300kg x 4 rep pb Well I got it but hips were very tight and wasn't particularly happy with them, first rep was terrible. Still 4 rep pb is a 4 rep pb and at lightest bodyweight too, i'll take it, little blood leakage on 2nd rep lol. I might try a max next week, will see. Vertical Back Machine 150kg x 10 rep pb 150kg x 10 volume pb Weight and reps up, strength on the up. T Bar Rows 40kg x 15 55kg x 12 New set up in so giving it a go, kept it light and went for a pump and contraction, will hammer these over the coming weeks I think, felt very good. Straight Arm Rope Pulldowns 40kg x 16 rep pb 40kg x 10 volume pb Burn was awesome on these, prefer higher reps with the hence why I reduced weight from 50kg to 40kg this week. Reverse Grip Hammer Pulldowns 100kg x 12 rep pb 110kg x 9 rep pb Strength again rocketing and getting more reps and more weight and form still very tight, lats really feeling it afterwards. Seated Machine Shrugs 200kg x 10 rep pb 160kg x 20 rep and volume pb Really like these and traps get hit so well. Kneeling Rope Crunch 47.5kg x 20 rep pb 55kg x 8 55kg x 7 Ab work to finish things off. SSCV 30 mis incline treadmill Upped my speed today as it was getting too easy. Decent day just need to try and stretch hips out more but happy enough. Chest and arms tomorrow ![]() | ||

It's also quite impressive that you manage to get these pb's whilst cutting and still do loads of back work afterwards.
