Cheers Neil, its just the squatting thats been really bugging me, i'm hoping the new set up helps, i really should be squatting much more considering my deads i think. Fridays i will continue slowoy increasing the weight on singles, tuesdays i will do this style of squat but paused for more reps work. I'd like to get back up around 210kg squat this year but raw and deeper than my wrapped pb.

Good sessions here mate. Always tough learning a new squat style. I prefer box squats myself but past two sessions have been a high bar olympic style... just wore a belt for them. Was a lot of fun but back to the box next week!

Yea I liked it for the month I did lol need to get back to it or do a similar diet to your old one with no carbs during the week. Got to get out of the Christmas habit of eating crap!

Cheers mate, well the new style is not 100% like rippetoe teaches but is similar, just need to keep getting the work in!

I like box squats myself mate but for me i get little carryover to a raw squat, oly squats are fun for a change!

Lol! I hear you mate, i went up 6 lb over xmas but the prep phase after for CBL dropped me 7lbs so all good. Loving this CBL i've just had a bloody lovely big meal lol!

Yea I lost a stone in 10 days on it! Just wasn't a big fan of the butter and cream coffee lol!

Well I think you just need time and a little patience as I think if you get the volume in and take it slow

Thats the plan Neil, i'm not a natural presser but i got the work in and now its not too shabby for my size, hoping the same will hold true for my raw squatting.

Well weighed in this morning still 3lbs up on end of prep phase but looking tighter and bigger. Feeling very good on this diet so far.

Been playing with squat tech again and its feeling pretty good now, tweaked it a bit again. I'm taking stance out fairly wide, head looking ahead/slightly down, chest up, elbos under bar and sitting back as far as i can. Coming back up i'm trying to keep hips/chest moving up at the same time, driving head back into the bar and driving hips hard forwards around 1/3rd the way up. Its feeling ok. Been watching Iains vids and thats the style i'm kind of trying to emulate as it works well for my shape i think. Going to try and not over think this now and just get the work in. I may possibly add in a 3rd session for squats on sundays when i have time with sets of 5 perhaps on top of my pause squat on tuesdays and max singles on fridays. Much graft is needed, just got to get it done, hoping if i massively improve this dire raw squat my deads may edge up too.

New style feels much stronger just need to eliminate any GMing the weight whilst getting the hips moving first. Comments welcome, needed!!

The last vid on the 2nd rep your arse rises first so you GM'S the weight, keep you elbows forced and as best you can pointing towards the floor. Keep you chest high. The on your upwards phase push you knee's out and push to hips through as you rise.
