After a morning finishing off the write up for my level 2 and starting level 3 off I decided to do a quick arm and delt pump session, was just feeling it...

Smith Machine Drag Curls (No counter balance on the machine)

40kg x 15

Massive massive pumps...very enjoyable movement and as said a crazy as hell pump!

Crucifix Cable Curls

25kg a side x 15

35kg a side x 9
35kg a side x 8

Got really into these, biceps screaming and pump was immense!

DV Cable Extensions

20kg a side x 8

Huge pumps again, contractions were intense, felt really good.

Tricep Rope Pressdowns

New lowest BW of cut this morning, feeling very energised and looking forward to deadlifting, no variation this week, just deads...

Deadlifts

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
180kg x 5
220kg x 2
260kg x 10 rep pb
300kg x 1
220kg x 10

Was toying what to go for today and decided to do something I never do and rep out a little ...260kg feels light of course but fitness really tested, quads and glutes on fire. Easy fast 300 after then a quick 10 with 220 to finish, a bit wiped by then. Maybe try 300kg x 4/5 next week or I may do a variation again, will play it by ear. Pleased with that 10 repper though, I remember 260 being a triple nemesis, could always double it but failed a triple so many times lol, 10 rep max now lol.

Upright Back Machine

145kg x 8 rep pb
145kg x 8 volume pb

Weight up again and good controlled reps, progress coming fast with these, lovely movement.

Chest Supported Rows

55kg x 8 rep pb
55kg x 8 volume pb

Weight static but reps up, moving quicker than last week, these give a crazy pump.

Reverse Grip Hammer Pulldown

80kg x 12
90kg x 12 rep pb

Will be incorporating this movement more again, feels very good and can get a big stretch and really focus on a hard contraction, lats targeted very nicely.

Seated Machine Shrugs

160kg x 15 rep pb
180kg x 10 rep pb and volume pb

5 reps up on set 1 and another 20kg on next working set, good solid reps with a pause on each contraction, traps really burning at the end.

Kneeling Rope Crunch

35kg x 20
40kg x 20

Cable Side Twists

35kg x 15
35kg x 15

Adding in ab work now, enjoyed those cable twists...no rest between sets 1 side to another and back again...the burn was immense.

You're not right in the head mate, 260 x 10 and talks of some 20 rep madness. Just the thought of it makes me feel ill.

Back to chest day...decided after 6 weeks I wanted to do a heavy bench session again...

Bench Press

A little strength lost during cut but equally there is a skill loss after 6 weeks off. Happy enough with this though, will look now at building slowly back up if cut allows.

Poliquin Incline Flyes

Weight up and feeling light, chest felt ripped apart ...in a really good way, love this movement.

Incline Dumbbell Press

Chest really feeling it big time thanks to the pre exhausting, felt really good.

Cable X Over

Strength increases, reps up each set. Chest pumped really well, nice dull ache developed.

Low to high Cable X Over

20kg x 12 rep pb

Love this exercise...weights up, reps up, lovely focus on the upper chest.

Machine Preacher Curl

Lol, this is why I feel you would never be able to make the jump to full on bodybuilding. You just love the heavy strength stuff too much. Awesome lifting as well.

Lol it is a big part of my way of lifting but I think its possible to combine things to a point. I am seriously considering a BB show in 12 months time, i'm going Saturday to see what first timers look like to see if I could even get close. Just like the idea of having competed in SM, PL and BB lol! Dunno if I could even do it but its in my head lol.

Weight drooping like a stone this week so dumped cardio today, the weight session was immense though and my strength just continues to fly up...

Stiff Leg Deadlifts

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
180kg x 5
220kg x 1
250kg x 1
280kg x 3 rep pb (more there)
305kg x 1 PB

Feeling strong, very strong, 280kg triple was easy, my headphones fell over my eyes on sodding rep 3 putting me off a bit, 5 there no trouble i'd say. Loaded 305kg on and pulled a fairly comfy pb single. Need to adjust my belt as its too loose now, not doing a whole lot. Really pleased with this today, hams and glutes felt very worked.

Close Stance Hack Squats

40kg x 10
80kg x 10
120kg x 10 rep pb in this style
120kg x 10
120kg x 10
140kg x 8 + 3 + 3 rest pause ...rep pb

Dropped my foot placement and brought stance in to try and target more of the quad I need to build and they felt really good. Massive pump from first warm up tbh, slow, deliberate reps with no lockout to keep constant tension on the quads, was shaking badly by the end. Pleased with these.

60 Degree Leg Extensions

80kg x 16 rep pb
80kg x 15
80kg x 12
80kg x 10 + statice hole and a slow negative to complete failure volume pb

Pain pain pain...such an intense burn with that constant tension but again reps well up, my legs literally buckled and gave way after that last set. I had to sit down and stretch for a few minutes before I could walk.

Seated Leg Curls

80kg x 22 rep pb
80kg x 15
80kg x 15 volume PB

Again weight and reps up, every rep seemed to pump hams up more and more, it relieved the horrendous blood pump in quads but caused the same issue on back of my legs lol. A brutal movement but one I feel is one that has huge carryover to deadlifts. Hams look to be thickening out even more lately, though not a weakness they can never be too big.

Seated Calf Raises

80kg x 7 rep pb
80kg x 6
80kg x 5 hold and neg...volume pb

I will keep working these calves until they give in and sodding grow. Reps up on same weight as last week and a good deep stretch every rep, pumped nicely.

V Squat Standing Calf Raise

80kg x 8 rep pb
80kg x 8
80kg x 8 volume pb

A 2 count on each negative and down as far as I could go and a squeeze at the top. Brutally painful with little weight, hopefully I can see some progression....they may ever so slightly be growing as getting my knee sleeves over them is proving more difficult than it was.

And that was that...favourite session tomorrow...delts and arms with a little lat work.
