Replays don't mean a thing, if the refs passed it - then it wasn't high.

No, I think we're just used to it by now...he's been given a number of gifts over the years.

To his credit he normally goes deeper as the weight gets heavier but, yeah.

Williams - 181.22kg
Uepa - 184.81kg
Rast - 185.93kg

In the M1 James Brincatt-Smith was 189.87kg.

In the M2 Morozevich ws 201.00kg.

I heard the M2 guy above weighed over the scales range they first used.

From my vantage point Williams squats looked a little high.

Had a look on en.allpowerlifting.com and he's generally 201 or 202kg.

Awesome. Gives me hope of becoming decent on a world level with 20kg odd to still play with. Especially looking at Uepa's progression since 2013.

I find that difficult to believe. If an IPF ref passes a squat he either thought it was in or he wasn't sure and gave the benefit of the doubt as per the rules. I can't imagine anyone watching a squat, believe it to be high and then deliberately press the white light. You may laugh, but I can't, really I can't

We all know that the higher the class of the competition the more the benefit of doubt rule gets ignored and they have to be well in to get passed. That I can and do believe. But know it high and still pass it. No, really no.
