So, a buildup normally starts with me cruising on not much gear and good for around 220-225. I would start on 160 or so and rep. Then just add some weight each week and lower the reps. Typical linear periodisation but generally I do 2-3 waves leading up to a comp, hopefully pbing with each weight on each wave. I mix up tng and paused too but generally pause everything below 3 reps. | ||

Once doing that my top set is a single one week then a 3-5 rep set the next. | ||
