squatted up to 140kx1 , I had a slight twinge in my groin as I was warming up , which got progressively worse so decided to leave it there and not do any more. Hope its nothing a little rest wont sort out. Strangely I think its all the stretching I've been doing thats caused it.

I'm toying with winding down the weights somewhat ed , mabie just never going so heavy that it feels like its gonna ruin form , I'm not sure , I need to do s**t like that coz I'm getting old but I'm just not bothered anymore about 'going heavy'
love and kisses to your groin !! you did right !

I was thinking along similar lines myself , I think i'll be doing some 10's for a bit (except deadlift) and maybe just do some more general (looking good) training. It would be nice to whip through the sessions a bit quicker and get more done which is hard to do when your focussing on hitting a certain top set.
last night Muay Thai 1 hour , chatting to one of the blokes there my last comment was "I've strained my groin a bit hope we dont do any kicking tonight" for the first time ever the entire session was kicking and defending kicks . Fortunately it didnt seem to bother my groin.

40 minute run with the dogs , took it very steady just to test out the groin which still isnt right felt a bit tender but no exactly sore , I'll start training again next week but
I'll be staying away from squats or anything that might aggravate it.

benchpress 80kx5/5/5
circuit of 3 minutes on the stationary bike on max resistance
kettlebell swings 16kx50
wide grip chins x10
dumbell overhead press 16k x10
dumbell curls 16k x10
3 rounds .
looks like this groin strain is going to take a bit longer to clear up than i'd hoped so i'll be changing up training completely , no squats no deadlifts no running and more circuit type stuff . will be googling rehab stuff tonight so it'll hopefully f**k off sharpish.

I assume you were up at the 90kg mark when you competed last (the big battle with Beefy)? Bet you feel better being lighter though?
I feel your pain regards the strength but i dont have any weight loss to use as the excuse.

triathlon hmmm! I'd consider doing one except I can only swim breast stroke and my bike cost £20 out of the paper.

Our body weights are incomparable mate. If i wasnt lifting more then you there would be a serious issue. Its all relative, your more competitive at under 80 then i am with the top domestic fat boys.
