Oh and the hip ok thanks chaps. Still can't sleep on my left side but don't need painkillers anymore and can train fine. Just got a nice big pool of blood on the hip.

Keep trying to post the rest of my write ups but the forum isn't letting me.

What error are you getting? Can you send me the text over PM, or Facebook if that doesn't work, and I'll take a look.

My last test on the turbo was 256. I guess I might do slightly more outside if I had anywhere to do it as my NP at Wimbleball was 241 over 3hr 15.

Not all FTP on Trainerroad will be accurate. It depends on whether they have an accurate and consistent power curve for our turbo if you use virtual power. I believe on some like the Kurt Kinetic it is supposed to be within about 5% which is nearly as accurate as many power meters which are around 2-3%. With my turbo they only had a beta power curve and it was miles out. After my first FTP test I was considering turning pro as my FTP was as good as many riders in the pelotonHappy

Kind words, but I've a very long way to go yet. I'm sure you'd quickly put me in my place

Nice one ! I'm enjoying the power meter training and I am incorporating the rowers power meter to gauge my progress, however ultimately I will have to test myself against my best out on the road , which is probably 1:06 for the 40k bike leg at the British triathlon champs ( 36 kph average)

Having 1 extra small child in the family isn't helping matters though !

Ps your a beast

That may be true (and with the miles ive clocked id hope so) but your commitment and consistency is a lesson to all.

Im doing a couple of marathons - hoping to get a decent PB at next years Manchester marathon (just 10 minutes behind steve)

I'm also gonna do a few Olympic triathlons , I'm enjoying getting some fitness back - I have already signed up for the 2016 World Triathlon Series Leeds , which is taking a year off from hyde park and moving up north , that's going to be a smashing weekend ...me and the brownlee brothers

also the british champs in Liverpool as I wouldn't mind a cack at my PB time of 2:27 for an Olympic tri

After recently observing the state of the cycling infrastructure in Holland I'm seriously contemplating cycling Amsterdam to Maastricht and back again. Probably next summer. That's all for now.

Starting to get a bit of power back in the legs. Few 1 minute intervals @600W, 5 minutes @380, and 30 mins @301W.

Long way to go yet but Im hoping to be at my best in about 6-7 weeks.
