And very glad to see you've improved moving events by 30/40%.

You were so close to qualifying for WSM final this(last) year and you look to be easily on your way now.

How is Stones going?
You were leading going into them at WSM. Improving those is important for your overall WSM performance.

Don't think he needs to improve them

Just think he was unlucky to run into the platform and drop it

Huge pull

I never thought Ed would be competitve for WSM...but if his moving events are improving similar to his statis stuff, then maybe....

Ed - do you think you can win BSM this year?

Ed you said you're like a zombie with work. Is there any chance you'd hire someone to look after your business so you can be full time strongman? And do you think it'd make a big difference

Same. One of the statically strongest people in the sport, if he continues to Improve his movement he genuinely has a chance IMO. I remember 2 years ago he struggled with a 350 yoke at celtic carnage, now he's pretty rapid with 400, definately been working hard and definately has the drive

I can't say yes to that mate as my mobility stuff is still pulling me down but Im actually training them pretty hard for once! Which with a great mindset which I have right now they seem to feel alot easier!

People are easy to forget I beat the likes of Burke at yoke at Budapest! The yoke at europes was the week after so felt pretty sore hence the slowish time. The yoke at worlds for me was just the wrong day wrong timing! I had the s**ts for two weeks before china and lost alot of power and weight and then had sickness and diarhorria out there too! My squats felt harder than the previous year and that's only because of the illness's' not making excuses, il admit my moving is still amble compared to Brian and terry etc but its not far behind iv just not had chance to prove it yet!

BSM is not an interest to me tbh it's a qualifying event' my focus is WSM Wink

Arnold Schwarzenegger aimed for mr universe before he won the nationals! Why shouldn't I?!?!

As soon as I saw this I said I think its up there with the best deadlifts ever. Don't think Shaw will have that 442.5 record for too long!

420kg like a f**king boss!

I work for a company I don't own it! My door company is very easy to run I just do the books and pay guys to run it for me! And yes it makes a huge difference! I had a month of work last year before Budapest and put almost 2 stone on, from what I can only see was from getting amble rest!

Thats good to hear. Given the 2013 WSM performance and your subsequent rapid improvement, I'd imagine you'll be making the final this spring

Be great to see 3-4 Brits in the final...which is possible IMO

Ed, not really a lot I can add in terms of just how impressive these recent lifts of yours are. It would be lovely for you to be able to leave work and train full time somehow, but you’ve also got to provide for others too. I’m sure many of us here completely understand this so about the best I can do is wish you well – with the amount of work you have to do (job work and training) any success would be well deserved.

That said (!), I still think you should look to take a bit of time off work, train, eat, and then sort out a small comp somewhere where you can try and ‘officially’ break some strongman records (deadlift and maybe British log?). And sod it, whilst I’m at it, get some real good coaching on the bench and knock up a good attempt at a British raw record! It’d be good to see.

All the best and good luck. And keep on loading up videos!
Happy
