Feel really strong and hopefully I can start sticking some more weight on the bar. Push press was fast enough, didn't go any higher tha 90kg as my lower back is still painful. Powercleans were fast but light. Having a sore lower back meant that I kept my core tighter and my back more vertical. Good techique but the lifts had no venom in them. | ||

Every set was really well controlled - difficult to explain but I sat into the bottom of the squat and didn't 'bounce' out of the hole useing the tightness in my hips. Push press felt lightning fast at 90kg and I knew I would get a triple at 100kg. 2 sets was a real result. Really enjoying these now. Powercleans were explosive. First time I have tripled 100kg here aswell. 2 sets of triples has me typing this as a very happy boy! Snatches and overhead squats were pretty crap I would think but I'd like to continue with them. I have a highland games competition soon and I hope to win the shotput. I came 2nd last year by 6cm so I have something to prove now. I'm bigger, stronger and faster than last year - what can go wrong??? | ||

If you have a spare moment, can you open a thread about it in the comps section and put in the events and stuff - i know next to nothing about it and it would be really interesting to see how they are constructed. I know very little about the highland games but I will go along and either take part or spectate and report back. I have always been interested in throwing and have tried on numerous occassions to find coaching in my area with no luck. Its no wonder all we can do on an international stage is f**king curling. | ||

Didnt do too much after bench as I could feel my right shoulder grinding. Quite happy with the bench. Hopefully go for a max banch next week and hit a new pb! I reckon 150kg may be on the cards. | ||
