memories , like the corners of my mind .... Member 49, 2298 posts SQ 200, BP 132.5, DL 220552.5 kgs @ 123kgs UnEq | I get the exact same s**t. Think its to do with low salt levels, dehydration etc... Some people just get it and never find out why. Joni takes anti-cramp tabs, he can probs enlighten us more.

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | aye some people just more prone to them. its about minerals and s**t and hydration, dont know the science and dont really care that much because in the end of the day bananas are nice (on top of having potassium) and water should be drank. also gentltle stretching may help to prevent them. painfl bas***d though eh?

Hasn't always been a bench press specialist Member 44, 1907 posts SQ 252.5, BP 220, DL 210682.5 kgs @ 83kgs Eq | ive found that when i strengthened muscles that i were prone to cramping i started getting less cramps in those areas. Cramping is caused by imbalances in potassium and sodium levels. If you take in a lot of caffeine during the day this can make you prone to cramping

tabbouleh and fattoush salads were very refreshing Member 267, 8548 posts SQ 220, BP 165, DL 250635.0 kgs @ 90kgs Eq | Ahem, the doctor says... No, seriously, the guys who've posted have already covered the main points. Dehydration is the main culprit here, so make sure you're getting your fluid intake right. If you're prone to cramp, I would recommend 10L of water a day or even more if you can.

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10035 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | I found that since I started drinking isotonic drinks (Pro Napalm to start the workout, Viper thereafter) I have hardly cramped at all; I used to have real problems with hamstrings cramping on bench.

What's that, close to 20 pints?! That's stupid unless you're 9'10". dr_hazbun, what area of surgery are you specialising in? Do you agree with the labelling of GPs as Google Practitioners?

You just need to drink enough to make sure that your urine is very pale yellow to colourless all the time. I feel sorry for GPs who have to know so little about so much. Your average patient has access to all sorts of medical info these days, the internet being one of them, and GPs are having to face very well read people on a daily basis. What's interesting though, is that people still need reassurance from a human being that they haven't got anything seriously wrong with them, and computers/books won't do that. I do pelvic and abdominal surgery (mainly keyhole), so by the time paatients have got to my team they'll have gone through many filters...

I was listening to an article about the improved recovery rates from keyhole surgery as opposed to open surgery on Radio 4 yesterday. I especailly liked the expression "papering the hall, through the front letter box" to describe it. I could listen to serious medical programme all day.

Is that serious Doc or is it something that I may say? First one of mine in the morning is so strong the edges of my poo turn green in reaction. Thats one toxic piss I do pelvic surgery, so by the time patients have got to my team they'll have gone through many filters... Dont take this the wrong way Doc, but are you a fanny mechanic? Mate of mine moonlights in a cosmetic place where they do flap tucks and boob jobs. Sounds like fun.
