 Member 870, 552 posts | Its scotland you will never understand the rules,you think this is crazy then check ouy some rules at scotlands strongest man your only allowed 1 belt either neoprene or powerlifting,no elbow sleeves either,i personally like the no double dip as it will show who has the strongest shoulders but this is only my opinion.aaaarrgghh!!!! as for the farmers couldnt think of a worse event never mind.with some luck my friend Martin will steal alot of pionts on this event come on Martin | ||

IMO, if you can jerk at WSM etc then why not Scottish; but as you know that's the same arguement we have for neoprene belt etc etc. | ||

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22081 posts | I don't really like the idea of a strict press in strongman. Incline log press is as close as it gets, but that's not truly strict. Strongman is about whole body power. | ||

Totally agree with this, if you want to test pure shoulder strength it must be strict as different people get more out of the leg drive in push press than others. Strongman was all sports coming together, this includes oly lifting where the jerk is from. As I said though, I'm looking forward to a press event that is push press only and not Viking Press!! | ||
