As you can see from the pull there is a lot more there, so I have increased my Fr.Sq frequency to make up 50% of all squats. I've just re-watched it a couple of times and you pull it ridiculously high. You rack the bar in a very high power clean position. You shouldn't have descended in the clean before jerking it just for the awesomeness points!

I'm not currently doing any powers, as it disrupts my pattern for pulling under too much, but I may have a play at some point, see what is there

OK so far, about 9 weeks post op, near enough full ROM back. Slowly adding in weight bearing movements again. I think the plan is to see the surgeon in a few weeks and discuss proper lifting movements and how/ when to integrate them in..

Not even sure why I bothered putting it on! I tend to sweep the bar a little (due to my shoulder I take quite a close grip for snatch, so sweeping it a little helps me to get it into my hips) but these were a little scrappy today. Still, doubling my 1RM has made for a happy Dave!

Pulls lol | ||

Are horror films healthy...? Member 5449, 2203 posts | AndyCoupe said: You really don't like straps do you, Phil? Good work Gorilla! I love them It's how they are used that can lead to technical errors Unfortunately it is infinitely easier to put a pair of straps on than it is to correct flaws once they are ingrained I see absolutely no necessity for their use for any lifter until they reach a certain level of performance... And even then the pitfalls need to be avoided Again it's a challenging balance and as a person I have always been able to lift well so I feel my (albeit a little hard line) view on strap use is slightly controversial but at the same time very much backed up with consistent experience You will get coaches and lifters disagreeing though I think... Less so in person but certainly over the web (where complicated perspectives are less clearly directed and then misinterpreted ) It's beautiful to lift heavy and lift well
