Nice one, that's a bloody good chub, I'm still after my first barbel, anchor meadow in Evesham is a lovely stretch of the Avon, my mate had an 11 1/2 from there an all I could bang out were chub lol.

Nope, 5lb chub, had a gob I could nearly fit my hand in!

Anchor meadow is nice, gets so bloody busy though, I go on the river for a bit of peace and quiet. Mind you, I have found a few quieter stretches hidden away to have a go at.

Yeh we managed to book the whole stretch for a little group of us.

You'll have to show me how it's done on the rivers some time then lol

Dead simple on that stretch!

1.5lb TC rod
10lb mainline
Free running gripper lead to a buffer bead.
18inch camo braid hooklength to a size 8 hair rig. 16mm pellet, double 10mm pellet or chunk of meat.
Either bait dropper in hemp and 6mm halibut pellets on the inside crease, or lob in with a PVA bag of pellets on the far crease.

Positioning is improving a lot to be honest mate, shoulder stability being one important improvement. The other being the changes I've made are improving my knee health, particularly beneficial to pulling under (more so snatch) and allowing me to squat regularly without having a negative impact on my WL sessions. All good currently Happy

Biggest thing I did and do for any knee niggles is the hip mobility to be able to stay on the heels/whole foot (instead of towards toe) and let the whole leg and glutes be loaded, rather than the knees/patella feel like they are holding on for dear life.

Competition at some point? That was the goal wasn't it? How much are you weighing?

That's definitely not my issue but thanks for the input you goatlover Grin

Yea, definitely will be competing, although this is more of a medium term target than the powerlifting which is much more likely to be the next national final I tick off.

Currently 104kg. Having to move my nutrition about a bit at the moment, so happy enough at this weight, but looking to add a couple of kilos of lean mass over the coming months.
