Its just friendly advice though from Lee please dont misinterpret it as slating your lifts, he just wants people who train out of our gym to go into comps and compete at a good level to do us and them proud keep up the good work!! | ||

Trained at the Junction this evening 6:45-9:00 with Sob and Gra. Bench (working on leg drive) 20 x 10 20 x 10 60 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 4 PB, but was hoping/thinking I would hit 5 easy, just felt tough so not a good start to the session! Prob rushed my reps tbh 60 x 12 - paused each rep Axle Press 65 x 5 - 1st & 2nd rep strict so a PB of sorts for strict. 65 x 5 - jerk 85 x 3 - took my last week PB and trebled it 100 x 1 PB! f**king well happy! Goal achieved... Now I shouldn't no rep on 27th! Dumbbell FTOH 35 x 2 55 x 1 55 x 1 55 x 1 Log 35 x 5 65 x 3 90 x F Overhead Medley - 100 Axle, 55 DB, 90 Log, 72 Keg I was never going to hit the log but hey ho.. Axle, DB, Log x F: 2nd time again just Axle and DB: Well I'm happy I took my Axle PB and did it twice more the same day!! Keg Press Now I struggled with these last time and couldn't do any.. 62 x 1 72 x 1 PB 72 x 1 72 x 1 Apollons Axle Press 105 x F 105 x F Log (some more practising push jerk) 65 x 3 Finished there at closing time. Very happy with the session. Looking forward to comp now, just need to get that log sorted! I wasn't thinking about the log before as thought I wouldn't get the axle lol... Failing Apollons... | ||

Felt s**t and tired, hate morning sessions. Trained outside in the sunshine, was quite warm, felt strange. Just over 12 hours since a heavy session last night, not good! Axle Deads 65 x 6 65 x 6 115 x 5 155 x 5 210 x 2 - felt heavy, was hot, pissed off 210 x 3 - felt better but still hard, annoyed as going backwards on this.. Felt strange outside in the sun, but better get used to it if comp is outside! Farmers 70 x 15m 110 - dropped after 1m! 110 x 15m in just under 10 secs, bashed into back of my leg 110 x 15m in 9 secs but dropped at line, lost grip and bashed my leg! Was trying to hold on as it slipped down my hand but now torn my bas***d callus off! Well pissed off. Last week did it in 7-8 secs. The heat outside must've affected my grip. We were going to do Yoke and Stones but my hand is f**ked and Sob needed to get off so finished there. Didn't fancy getting tackied up with a callus missing! Going to train Sat now, Squats, Yoke and Stones. Hopefully will be better. Anyway I'm off down to Brum soon to watch the mighty Blues stuff Blackpool on their way to promotion, if they don't I'll be well f**ked off today! | ||

Member 691, 720 posts | Some good work in here bud. Especially the overhead progression. Did you do the axle deads on the new axles? Because i found doing deads on those new ones harder than on the older axles for some reason. | ||

I was blaming it on a bad day but Sob was the same, he only managed 2 reps... | ||

I got 3 reps easy followed by a 185 single just 3 weeks ago. f**ked off, maybe due to training first thing and the fact I've been eating less and stopped drinking lots of milk/choco milk... Yoke 90 x 25m (ish- lots of mats in way!) 170 x 25m 210 x 25m 250 x 25m 260 x 20m 260 x 20m - 1 drop at around 6m lost balance trying to go too quickly. Was happy with these at least! Trained today 4:20-6 at the Junction, on my own Strict Press 20 x 10 20 x 10 40 x 5 47.5 x 5 55 x 8 70 x F (1 PP)- thought I'd try it but it didn't even move, f**k knows why, not done strict for a while. I pushed pressed it though before racking it very easily. Log 35 x 5 65 x 3 - power jerk technique 85 x F 65 x 4 Monster DB 35 x 5 - 1st rep from floor 55 x 1 55 x 1 55 x 1 - 2nd rep ftoh failed x2 55 x 1 - ditto 55 x 2 both ftoh All with right shoulder.. felt a bit sore afterwards Jerk Technique 33 x 10 - from the rack with fat axle bar Axle Press 65 x 5 85 x 1 100 x F - couldn't get my technique, was worried! 100 x 1 - more like a push press/power jerk! 100 x 1 - split jerk 100 x F - quicker solid clean but felt really tired and right shoulder feeling sore from DB. CGBP 60 x 12 60 x 12 60 x 8 - nothing left to push out the last few reps!! Finished there. I needed to be done by 6 at the latest so felt a bit rushed during the session to get everything in, prefer training when I have no time restraints! Happy though I did the axle again, probably the last time before comp on 27th now. | ||

Trained 7-9 this evening at the Junction with Sob. Had dinner before at 5 and felt bloated! Deads (Using straps for first time, due to callus tear last week and practice for comps) 60 x 10 100 x 6 140 x 6 180 x 10 PB - big rep pb - felt absolutely f**ked after tho! Think it's my lack of any fitness and not often doing high reps. Need to work on my conditioning deffo. More fitness and more reps were there. It felt weird lifting with straps too.. Helped me hang onto last one tho! Axle Deads 105 x 5 145 x 5 210 x 4 - better than last week but still tougher than the old axle.. Still tired as well! 210 x 2 - Sob slapping me round the head with his lifting strap didn't fire me up, it just put me off = the nob! 210 x 3 - well tired, 4th nearly but not quite. Getting more comfy with new axle tho. Atlas Stones Now for some reason it was 8:30 now, the above had taken ages, needing lots of rest! So we were in 2 minds whether to tacky up.. we did.. and wish I hadn't! After impressing myself the last session 2 weeks ago with these I was disappointed to say the least! 110 to 48" 120 x F and ripped my joggers lol 120 to 48" - 2nd rep failed... 120 to 48" - again 2nd rep no good - (see vid) Then sorted tacky properly: 120 to 48" x 3 reps - better but felt absolutely knackered now and couldn't go for 4th. Not happy with these, but we had worked hard before we got to stones, 2 weeks ago was fresher too after just having done singles on deads. I don't think it helped that I was mindful of the time and we rushed setting up tape and tacky, with really only 20 mins. Oh and I ripped my f**king t-shirt! Another stone session needed pre comp now I think. | ||

Was gonna stop there... 175 x 2 190 x 2 PB Wraps on for 2nd time ever 210 x F. Again out of hole but stuck. 200 x 1 - without wraps Box Squats (1st time with these) 130 x 5 - hard work 150 x 3 - even harder! Leg Press 155 x 10 205 x 10 255 x 6 305 x 6 Decline Sit-ups BW x 15 x 3 Dips BW x 10 x 2 Finished, pizza time! Weighing 107 in evening now and 105.5 in morning. I need to make sure I make U105 on Sundays 27th but not sure the best way to go about it so any advice appreciated! | ||
