Deadlift and Stones day.

Trained 1:30-3:30 at the Junction this afternoon with Sob and my bro. After last nights session I thought about missing today but happy I didn't! Finished work at 5am, at the gym for 1:20 so it was like a very early morning session, but I felt good. Bicep felt ok, not too sore (before anyway!)

Deads

60 x 8
100 x 5
140 x 5
180 x 3
200 x 2
220 x 1
235 x 1 - PB no.1
240 x 1 - Cleaner pull than 235!
245 x 1 - PB - Hitched but it went up! Grin

Atlas Stones to 48"

110 x 1 - easy
120 x 5 - well within 75secs. Felt really good.
145 x 1 !! Well happy, went up easy.
155 x 1 - Grin big PB
170 x F - off the floor but not quite up onto my legs.

Really pleased with these on 2nd real attempt! Used my new Dave Ostlund training tacky which was really good. Bicep tendons hurting after this though.

Farmers

60 x 30m
110 x 15m in 7 secs

Finished there. Bicep really sore and Sob needed to get off. Very happy with the session and some more massive PBs.

Very nice stones. Huge progression. I had a feeling you may be good at stones last week.

I don't know whether you noticed but I kept looking over when you were doing the stones today. I was well impressed, especially with that set of 5 as it looked easy! Happy

(I was the guy doing the hitler cleans/yoke)

Cheers Si, I didn't notice you looking lol, but I watch people train all the time! You looked good on the yoke (and I nearly got run down lol!). Nice to put a name to another face Happy. I impressed myself too to be honest!

Well just last weekend I measured it with 1 mat an it was over 9inch so 2 mats will make it around 10.

but hey if steve roll measured it it must be right.

Pull on the other platform with no mats and your onto a winner

You will care when you come to a oly bar deadlift in a comp and you been pulling from over a inch higher week in week out

And if you don't care about the extra why put the mats there in the first place?? After all your training strongman not powerlifting ;-)

Its called letting people know so they don't come unstuck when it matters like I expect people to do for me
