id maybe get yourself into powerlifting with that sort of bench, just do wot a few people have said n make sure no spotters touch the bar/weights, loose the elbow wraps and try and pause to give you an idea of what you could do in competition.

will maybe take you a while to get used to pausing but definately worth doing asap if your thinking of competing

nope, biggest raw bench in the UK currently is 250kg in an untested fed by Rich Ellis. In a drug tested fed its my record of 235kg .

i for one would be very excited to see a Brit doing a 265kg raw bench , you need to get that videoed and put it up asap !! Make sure its without knee wraps or spotters touching the bar and that would be very very impressive

Didn't realise that's untested record there's a guy started training with one of my training partners who benched an easy 250 4weeks out from a bodybuilding comp I don't know his name but there's a vid of it il try get it on here it'd mental he said he's going to have a go at powerlifting in 2013 the guys a monster

Looking to compete in Strongman next year so have promised myself no more bench training cos i just won't need it :-( unless they bring in Car Bench press :-)

Need to concentrate on my deadlift and overhead stuff really, no doubt I'll still bench every now and then but as far as competing in Powerlifting goes, i dont think my Deadlift is up to it as its only 310 on a normal bar and i would hate to be accused of being a one trick pony :-(
