Lol, yeah BLDL = Bent Leg DL as I do Sumo DL's and SLDL's as well. I assume over here a "DL" is understood to be a conventional/BL deadlift

WGPU's = Wide Grip Pullups as you guessed (only do chins supinated)

WPGPU's = Wide Parallel Grip Pullups, I also do these with my body a bit more horizontal to mimic a seated row machine I use whenever I go to my local Fitness First Lewisham, not the same think but the seated row at my work/gym is s**t and pulley's only go up to 48'ish kg.

Thanks for sorting out the avatar. I had to look hard for my log though as I've gotten used to look for the ? amongst the avatars Roll-Eyes

Here's todays workout.

Tuesday 14 May

Squats
60kg x10
80kg x8
100kg x6
120kg x4
135kg x4,4,4,4,4,4
Brilliant squats today and got good depth. Quite a few times the bar hit the safety bars which is a good sign. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to do 5 or 6 sets so did 6 as I felt good. Made sure to start of with a narrower stance that I take by reflex now and it got more natural as the sets went by.

Sumo DL
60kg x4
100kg x2
140kg x2
160kg x2
180kg x2
160kg x2,2,2
Sumo DL felt much better as well so I kept going up to a double with 180kg which equals my PB weight that I got in the past and that was in my first PL comp last year. It wasn't a full out effort so it's promising. Technique wasn't as good on that one so lowered to 160kg to dial myself in again and try to get my hips forward.

SLDL
122.5kg x5,5,5
Did all reps from a dead stop at the floor and standing on 15kg plates. Felt good and will keep doing them this way. Felt it more in the glutes than hamstrings but that could after the squats and Sumo's

Great workout. Didn't have time for the back extensions but don't think it'll hurt much to skip them. Will add them in tomorrow and Friday instead.

An extra rest day seems to do me good. Not sure but think the scales are telling me that my weight is on the way up. Have to watch it as I just need to stay this light for another 5 weeks more and then I can allow the BW to start creeping up. It's still a good sign though as BF hasn't really gone up.

Videod all work sets so if I can sort out Movie Maker or get my hands on another editing tool I'll get them up on utube.

Oh, and received my wrist wraps and DL slippers today as well. Unfortunatly I found the package after my workout or I would have tried the lippers in the Sumo.

Ahhh! Very niffty!

The template thing seems interesting, too. Will play around a bit with it. Might even help me stick to a plan.

Thursday 15 May

Military Press
20kg x20,20
40kg x5
50kg x3
60kg x1,1,1,1,1
Intended to try 67.5kg for a BW press but once I started I knew it wasn't going down today. Even 60kg was on the limit a few times. 60s rests inbetween singles.

Speed bench
40kg x10
60kg x5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5
Nice and snappy for once.

From floor BoR
60kgkg x10
80kg x5
70kg x10,10,10,10,10
Wasn't strong enough for 80kg today so dropped the weight a bit and added a bit of volume instead. Worked well.

DB bench
26kg x10,10,10
These felt better again, no shoulder pain at all and in the end it was my right tri that gave up.

WGPU's
BW x12,8,6
Too short rests inbetween sets, under a minute as I was running out of time.

Quick and intense workout. These wear me out the most and I'm glad I squeezed it in early so that I could free up 2 hours for a nap now in the afternoon.

Friday 16 May

Speed squats - Light bands double choked at rack
20kg x10
60kg x2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2
80kg x2
Felt heavy today, but still fairly snappy. 80kg is too heavy with the bands double choked.

Speed pulls/"low" high pulls
60kg x4
80kg x2
100kg x2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2
80kg x4
The 100kg only got to belly button level. I have a problem with the hip extension as I'm scared to catch my balls on the bar. Do weight lifters wear really tight under wear to avoid this or something cause if I really try and get full extension I run a big risk to hurt myself. Gonna wear my tightest underwear I've got next time :|

RDL
80kg x5
120kg x5
My back was too tired and the 120kg felt like 150kg in my hands. Decided to let them be and go hard on Sunday instead.

Ab-wheel from knees
BW x10,10,10,10
Felt pretty good today so added a set.

45 Back extensions
BW x30,30

Felt really nackered and tired today. Upper back is starting to feel real fatigued as well and doesn't seem to recover fast enough. I wonder if I'm going to have to cut down on my work a bit more even. Even as it is I haven't done all that I've intended to and am still feeling beaten up. And that's after adding a rest day as well.

Finally managed to get hold of a decent video editor that's free, although seems a bit trickier than Movie Maker. Good thing is that it does the job real fast, but need to figure out how all the frame rates etc works so that I can still compress it without it getting as grainy as the one I just posted.

This was Tuesdays Squats....

Squat 135kg 6x4

Which editor is it? Pity about the grainy quality, would have loved to have seen the guy in the background caressing his power belly in finer detail Wink

It's VirtualDub that I used. I think I might be compressing a bit too much as I'm shrinking the file from 500Mb to something like 1.5mb. Will figure it out sooner or later but it certainly isn't as straight forward as Windows Movie Maker. It's way faster though which is nice. Got some more vids today so will play around a bit if I have enough time.

Sunday

Sumo DL
60kg x8
100kg x4
140kg x4
160kg x1
180kg x1
190kg x1 PB!
202.5kg x1 3xBW PB!!!!!
The 202.5kg was hard but not as hard as I expected it to be. Even though it's Sumo DL I'm happy to nail the 3xBW DL. Grin

BLDL
100kg x4
140kg x3
165kg x3,3,3
Pretty hard

SLDL
125kg x5,5,5
From dead stop and straight legs from the bottom. This is a nice lift and I think what I've done before is more like RDL's.

Ab-wheel
From knees x15,15,15
These are getting better.

45 Back Ext
BW x32,32
Low back fried...

Awsome workout and not even shattered at the end. Happy about that.

Will post todays vids a bit later once I'm done with the cooking and house cleaning
