Really didn't want to go tonight but watched wsm 09 to get in the mood.

Trained at naval base gym.

Cleans
5 sets of ten v light

Deadlift
150*5
160*3 Shud have been 170 but loaded bar wrong
190*1 callous ripped open again so stopped there and foolishly moved onto 18 inch. Did 100/140/180 for one each but hand was bleeding so stopped there.

Good morning. 5 sets of 12
Crunch. 5 sets of 15 Shud have been hanging leg raise. Hand hurting too much for that.

Well got the job done and its another workout in the bag. De load week soon so body will have a rest.

Trained at naval base gym again today. Got a very last minute call about doing the royal navy bench press champs but decided against it since I wud only be confident of 120 to powerlifting regs at best, and didn't think this would have warranted entering.

Was at Freshers fair this morning so had a cheeky pint. Agreed to do tryouts for American football on Saturday which should be a laugh and they have cheerleaders so its win win.

Bench
80*5
90*3
105*1 hand still hurting!

Incline bench
Three sets of fifteen light weight

Dumbell row
2 sets of 10
One set od twenty

Barbell curl
5 sets of 15

Happy enuff with this was taking it easy today. Looking forward to squats tomorrow then deload week but I might just do the de load over the weekend and crack on again ASAP.

Lol. Thank col Austin. Just measured ... 36.5 inch at 92kg now. In April i was 40+ inch at 105 kg ish.

Don't worry I can still do my job, pass my fitness test etc.

EDIT: now I've a chance to use a proper keyboard and not my bloody phone.

Did American football tryouts for the uni team. I didn't realise they took it so seriously. I originally guess about 200 guys turned up but it was actually 380 according to the head coach. Loads of drills, timed 40 yard dash, people with video cameras the works! I thought it would be a few guys having a mess about in the park.
They put 50 people through to the second day and I got in, I think based on my tackling as that's where they asked for my number. Happy and enjoyed it will have to see what tomorrow brings.

Second day of tryouts, padded up with helmets and all that today. Put me in at linebacker as that's what I liked the look of. Then basically spent four hours running into people and trying to take them down as hard as possible. It was funny going against some of the weedier lads cos I could pick them up but I did take one or two hits myself from some big/experienced guys, made my peanut brain rattle around a bit.
They knocked about another 20 people out but I made the squad. I think it was just because I was up for it and happy to take on the big boys where some people shyed away.
You could see the lads who weren't going to get picked anyway because they sat out after a few hits cos they didn't like the contact.
Wish I had been more cautious now though as I ache more than any strongman comp or boxing match I have ever done. Can't lift my knees above my hips and have grazes all over.

In two minds weather to do it or not as they train Tuesday Thursday Sunday but I go home to doncaster on weekends and wouldn't train. Then again it might complement strong man well with the explosive power needed. Will train on Tuesday and have a think. You also have to pay a hundred quid for the kit and whatnot and I'm a bit skint.

Going to train shoulders if I can later anyway.

Thanks Toby! I am still in the navy, live on the base, just doing 3rd year of uni at Portsmouth full time. Mint job! Hope London life is good.
