Just read that Phil just randomly passed away last night. Today was his 53rd birthday. Spoke to him a few weeks ago and he had zero health issues.

Rest easy, Phil.

Awful news. He had recently been diagnosed with a heart condition and had retired from competitive lifting, but was still working out. But no one expected this. Super nice guy. RIP

I will be having a can of 'bow'' in his honour when i finish work tomorrow.

Yes, I met him at the masters in Belfast last. Really nice guy. I didn't realise he had any health issues. That puts things into a bit of perspective I suppose

I hope he and Joe Bullock are lifting a glass together. Last time I saw him was Joe's funeral Unhappy.
