They may not know what is best. I got really bad advice from physios a couple of times and am wary of seeing them at all now. Try to get the medical definition of what you have had done and read up on it a lot, it is worth fully understanding what has acutally been done. This will help you decide in your own mind what should help later on. Remember to work on balance and stability around the knee. This will be a foundation to regaining strength

It's killing me! BUT!! I'm going to get it sorted 100% before trying to train on it! Training can and should be part of your rehab, at sensible weights and the right stages. it is why lots of research and talking to the right people is so important. If you get sent to see a physio at your local hospital chances are they will have no concept of what you are describing when you talk about training and wont be able to help in the slightest with what you can include other than what is on a sheet of paper they have been given. During my shoulder rehab I had a physio that had never done any kind of training and didn't know what any of the exercises I asked about were, which was no help at all. I eventually did research online, and wrote to my concultant for a new rehap protocol which I followed myself
