There's a lot of room for improvment with the strict pressing though. Legs and upper back were very sore before doing this so was pleased to get through it! I have little doubt that with a couple of days rest,that 250 would have flew up,and to be so close to my home gym P.B after 3 days of near max squating and lower back work(not to metion last weeks 5 squat sessions), i think it's a promising sign. There may be something in this daily max squating lark......... However,after a couple of warm ups,i knew things weren't going to be easy. Squats Bar x 10 x 3 sets 60Kg x 8 100Kg x 6 120Kg x 3 140Kg x 2 160Kg x 1 (Belt) 180Kg x 1 Lower back completly cabbaged by this point. Decided to play it safe and call it quits. Another wasted workout thanks to deadlifting! Two days off over the weekend now, then back to heavy squating hopefully. Will probs deadlift again in 4 weeks,but not to failure this time. EDIT: Or,i'm thinking about deadlifting once a week again but only light (using 5/3/1) which may hopefully stop me getting so sore when I do eventually go for a heavy set. My head is swimming with ideas at the moment!!! | ||
