Raw Squat

Lower back was really aching throughout these sets(must be from mondays deadlifting),so decided to cut it down to three sets instead of the usual five. I'm going to start wearing my belt again for the top sets next week as i'm not convinced beltless squating is increasing my 1 rep max (with a belt). Shall aim to hit 170x5x5 which should give me a 210kg 1 rep max!

Finished off with the abb wheel. Not the best session today.

For a whole host of gay reasons Byrce,but I guess the main one is that I have no desire to train,or lift a heavy log,atlas stones or many other strong man events at the moment. I'm only really enjoying and interested in training deadlift,squat and some sort of barbell press. Wouldn't mind adding a bit of muscle to my ever decreasing frame too,so may stick a few bodybuilding sets back in.

Been off the past two weeks sunning myself in Spain with my girlfriend. The hotel I stayed in did have a gym, so I managed to get a few semi decent workouts in,but nothing very heavy as the bars were crap,and it was mostly machines. Lots of swimming and walking too.

Thought I'd ease myself back into today with a little powerlifting

Squat
Worked up to 180kg

CGBP
Worked up to 120kg

Deadlift
Worked up to 220kg

Power Clean
Worked up to 100kg

All pretty easy.

Being away and spending most of the day sitting on the beach or by the hotel pool,I've had a lot of time to think and I've set myself some training goals for the next 6 months. By the end of February 2013 I'm aiming to,
Get my Squat back to 205kg+
265kg Deadlift
130kg CGBP
110kg Power Clean to Push Press
All raw,with only a belt.

I've already got the next 6 months of training worked out and will be aiming to eat more and put on a little weight as my diet over the past year or so has not been ideal for gaining strength.

Havn't updated in a while so I thought now would be a good time. For the past 6 weeks,i've been doing 5/3/1 with good results hitting a few rep PB's with lots of kettlebell snatches/swings and skipping for gpp. This sunday just gone,i was having a sort out of stuff in my garden and ended up fracturing my hand after a garden slab fell on it. Have been to the fracture clinic today and been told by the doctor that two of my fingers need to remain tapped togethere for 3 weeks,and that the fracture would take 6 weeks to heal fully.

So,now that I can't really use my right hand for anything heavy for atleast the next 3 weeks,i thought what better time to do a smolov squat cycle!

I'm only running the jnr one,as i'm hoping after 3 weeks I can do some sort of light deadlifting and pressing again
