Liquid rower

1 km in just under 5 minutes, toughest drag setting...20

after a couple of minutes my groins and hips began to tire very very quickly... ahaaa... You would appear to still tired and unrecovered. Arsed. Plodded along to a full kilometre

24kg Kettlebell, 9kg Dumbells

20 swings into 20 hammer curls for three rounds in three and a half minutes

Lower back stretches

That was enough for a quick break... Surprising how (as Joni pointed out ironically) the awesomeness of the weights I'm shifting are taking their toll

Hopefully as I sleep tonight my thighs and lower back will do a "captain America" and save the world

Bish says deload on squats and deadlifts this week so I will, then go heavy on partials a few days later Grin

Wednesday 16th May 2012

Fitball

1 hour

Core Workout

1 hour

Shape and Tone Class

30 mins

I was on a course today followed by a shift at the gym. I could... And still may... Explain these sessions, as there are some interesting benefits to some of the exercises done.

However for now I will just log the exercises as a grim reminder as to why I don't feel as fresh as the prince today

There doesn't seem to be much weightlifting going on at the moment Mike. Have you decided it should take a back seat?

I miss the videos! Unhappy

I never took a front seat lol

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to do any Olympic lifting between my other commitments and within the strength training sessions I manage to get done I have been making sure I squat, deadlift, press and some fitness

Tommy Yule is putting in some brilliant oly style sessions with videos though!

Exceptional

Just had a bit of a thunk about this... I'm pretty sure I snagged my biceps while doing the regional qualifiers in strongman, had a busted wrist that I did while snatching and on a few occasions wasnt able to use my left thigh due to a reoccurring bleed/tear... (I know...moaning bas***d!)

I also remember saying my bleed/tear would go when I could do a pistol squat... and was showing off doing these during my fitball course this week oblivious!

It's funny how you forget about an injury once it has gone... But I'd love to know what I did to encourage what now feels like a very fast recovery!

Similar (hopefully) story with my busted right wrist which was badly effecting how I could receive weights overhead

Looking at sugden it is becoming awash with great strength athletes... Albeit it with inferior taste in music and ability to halt both regression and progression as if they were falling columns being held up by Hercules
