Exactly, if JC gets in he will be another up at those weights. I an sure with training Marc Keys would have a decent log also, maybe Chris Newlands too? Your log is coming on as well. I think a max log event would destroy it, as people dont tend to put max attempts, especially failed ones, down carefully | ||

embarrasingly poor bench Member 2684, 4043 posts SQ 240, BP 135, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | I hadn't thought about Keys, JC or Newlands either, also just been told by Buzz that he wouldn't want to load much more than 120kg on one of the wooden logs so looks like they're gonna have to use the metal log with the stupidly wide hand spacing. Did some squatting today, trying to get used to having heavier weights on my back again ahead of the squat in the Arnolds Qualifier. Squat: 160kg X 3 sets of 3 180kg X F, suit on with straps down and couldn't get near parallell. 200kg X 1, depth was a bit questionable, still struggling to get to parallell. 220kg X 2, Rep PB and I think a straps down PB. 240kg X 1, wraps on too for this one, PB with straps down, f**ked up my set up and had to unrack it 3 times before I was centred on the bar, think I would have been good for another rep with a spotter and if I hadn't messed around setting up for so long. Leg Press X some Leg Extensions X some Also played about with the new wooden log for a bit, it's alright but showers you with splinters and bark every time you press it and gets sap everywhere. Pretty decent session today getting the feel of the squat suit again, think a new PB is in order next week, hoping for 275 or 280. | ||

Cheers mate, got the Arnolds Qualifier in July and its got a rising bar machine squat, just trying to get the feel of the suit again before that comp as I'm not gonna get much of a chance to train in it between the Uks qualifier and it. | ||

If I take the boat i could take one, but its 90kg empty so wouldn't get it on a flight | ||

I'm sure we could get a shot of Leggiez' one if needs be, I'll see how things work out. I've got nothing to do with the organisation of the comp in September and am only competing in it so will leave it up to Austen. | ||

Deadlift: various warmups to 180kg, all DOH for a DOH PB. 220kg X 2 240kg X 1 260kg X 2, raw PB for weight and reps. 290kg X fail with the suit, got it to the knees but stalled out and couldn't get it moving again, another couple of inches higher and I'd have locked it out comfortably. Then fails with 290kg and 285kg, neither of which were particularly close. 15" deadlift: 250kg X 3 sets of 3, adding these in as I think it is the area of the lift where I always miss lifts. Bent Over Rows: 125kg X 3 sets of 10 Finished with lots of rolling thunder and other grip stuff. Happy with a new raw PB, although I reckon I'm probably still good for a bit more, and while a bit annoyed about missing 290kg it's the closest I've been to getting it and think I'll be good for it fresh. | ||

Log (All weights might be 5kg light as I'm calling the log 45kg and it could be as heavy as 50kg): Strict 50kg X 8 60kg X 5 70kg X 5 80kg X 2 sets of 2 Push Jerk 90kg X 2 100kg X a few fails, new log is wooden and feels very unbalanced, absolutely hate it. Back to Strict 80kg X 2 sets of 2 Circus DB: 53kg X about 10 or so. 64kg X 2 singles, PB, been been been tryinng for ages to get the 64 locked out and finally got it. Viking Press: 100kg X 5 120kg X 1 hard ground out rep, PB 100kg X 2 sets of 5 and one of 8 Behind the neck snatch grip strict press: 50kg X some Finished off with various bodybuilder style stuff for high reps. Pissed off about the log but very happy with the dumbell. | ||
