That's a boost, I thought that the smaller concrete one was only 90kg, if it's 110kg then that means that my stone lifting is a bit better than I thought. Cheers Ben.

TBH I'm not 100% on the middle one- it may be a 90?. I know the granite one is 100 though and the big one 130. Is the middle one lighter than the granite one?

I dunno, they felt much the same to be honest, I wouldn't like to say for sure which one was heavier, they're both pretty easy to throw about and it's only when I try the big one that I find difficult because it's so much wider than the others.

Bit of deadlifting and the like today, nothing too strenuous.

Deadlift:

worked up to 5 singles with 210kg.

Bent Over Row:

100kg X 12
120kg X 10
140kg X 2 sets of 8

Good Mornings:

80kg X 5 sets of 8

and a bit of work on the guns to finish.

Did all of the deadlifting and rows with straps and copious amounts of zinc oxide tape on my hands to try and protect the various torn callusses I've got on my hands before Dumfries next week. Fairly noticed the difference on the rows with straps as these have always been limited by my s**tty grip in the past.

As I said nothing too strenuous but solid enough prep for next week.

Cheers Andy, was really happy with the rows, my grip has always let me down with them on the past with me never really being able to go much higher than 120kg. Think I'll continue to use straps for them and train my grip by other means.

Thanks Davie, I'm really looking forward to it as well, just saw the videos of your last training on your log and looks like your coming into the comp with some good form. And on an unrelated note just saw the vid of Youngy doing that 78kg dumbell, he is an absolute beast.

I've decided that Youngy isn't human, he is a cyborg sent from the future.

Perhaps...but I'd like to see Arnie press that dumbell.

Overhead tonight

Oly bar push jerks:

90kg X 3 sets of 3.

Log:

90kg X 2 sets of 3
95kg X 1
100kg X 2 fails followed by 1 successful lift equaling my PB.
105kg X 2 fails and then good lift for a new PB. the lift was ugly as sin but they all count.
95kg X 3 rep PB.

Circus DB:

40kg X a few on each arm.

CG Bench:

80kg X 4 sets of 8.

Good session tonight and really pleased with the Log PB.
