I think I have met Col.

He is a very big athletic guy.

I have no reason at all to doubt any of his lifts.

100kg of muscle with not very much fat is very big mate. If he carried an average amount of tub he'd be up nearer 120kg.

And when I say think I've met him I mean I'm sure I have.

He doesn't confirm this but thats his choice.

Maybe he has his reasons for wanting to remain anonymous.

I'm better at the 1RM stuff than reps, but I'll start at +80, keep adding weight and see what happens. Will he care? I couldn't give a s**t, but if I end-up managing +110x6 I'll be stronger than I am now, which can only be of benefit. I won't be spending too much time on it though.
Anyway, the real goals are your 350 deadlift and Clegg's 305 raw squat!

That's all cool with me, onwards and upwards!

Your 180~ raw bench has been a long time goal of mine, I'm happy to admit that reading about you doing it every week fuels my fire a little bit each time. Recent raw squatting including yours and Clegg's has been a kick up the ass and a reminder to sort my own out also, so if my 350 deadlift features as a personal goal for you to beat, then I'm just happy we're all progressing and getting something positive from this site!

Speaking somewhat loosely of friendly rivalries... where did you end up with your shrugs? I haven't seen them mentioned in a while, I for one decided if I'm going to be doing partial deadlifts with 400 weekly, then there's probably very little use for shrugs, be it for grip purposes or upper back strength...

Big_Gray said:ooops, looking at your above posts im confused now.

lets say u have a 345 dead then and a 350 equiped squat? as your chasing toms equiped 350 dead and cleggs 305 raw squat. so thats 695 total yet your saying you have 922,5 945 and 967.5?

so your bench pb must then be 272.5?

cant wait for the snappy witty response to this

mr fiction

Whilst I don't have much time for his behaviour on here he is known by many people outside of the internet and is certanly a very real lifter.

col and I train in the same gym.

He's not short, he's about 6 foot tall.

His bodyfat is low and he is a very big 100kg guy. He'd weigh an easy 115-120kg with a normal amount of fat on him.

His lifts are real mate.

Not sure about his tan though.
