Full of the cold so my head felt like it was going to explode by the end of each set, my legs and traps were also still crippled from Saturdays squats and farmers but got the work in. Wouldn't usually bother with the suit at such light weights but need to get used to pulling reps in it. Not sure if I got a whole lot out of it today but time will tell. | ||

If I can keep that pace in the comp I will be very happy. | ||

Farmers 95kg x 40m 115kg x 2 runs of 40m Farmers hold with straps 135kg x 44 seconds, raging as this was exactly the same time as Ben and thought I had beaten him. Good session with Ben today, farmers for the second day on the trot and after arm over arm sucked ass. Despite feeling like I was gonna spew at times I enjoyed the session. | ||

Farmers 2 days in a row over the weekend took its toll on my back so did a bit less volume today. However got some work in even if it wasn't anything exciting. | ||

Started off a bit slow and my first couple of sets felt crap, however it got better as I went on. | ||

embarrasingly poor bench Member 2684, 4043 posts SQ 240, BP 135, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | Friday 27 November Front squat 145kg x 5 sets of 3 Farmers 95kg x 2 runs of 20m, all sets drop and turn at 10m 105kg x 20m 120kg x 20m, rushed my pickup on the turn and my grip on my left hand slipped as I crossed the line causing me to drop the implement on my calf. Quite a sore one so didn't do another run like I'd planned. Log ftoh 80kg x 5, using the old results log which is a bit thinner but with weird wide handle spacing. Didn't like it much. A good session today, squats felt pretty good and still not at my max on them although I think that 145kg for 3 is some sort of default 3 rep pb. Farmers were a bit frustrating, mainly because I dropped one on my leg, but also due to my grip going. I think my problem is I am rushing the turn and not getting a solid grip on the second pick up. I'm going to have to sacrifice a couple of seconds on the turn to make sure my grip is solid and get a clean run rather than risk a drop I think. | ||

embarrasingly poor bench Member 2684, 4043 posts SQ 240, BP 135, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | Thursday 3 December First time in the gym this week, been full of the cold and pulled a couple of my intercostals and rhomboids during a coughing fit on Sunday night. As a result I spent most of the week barely able to breathe let alone deadlift. However I was feeling a bit better today so decided to try some deadlifts. Deadlift 185kg x 6, struggling to breathe as I'm still choked up with the cold Suit on 210kg x 8 230kg x 5, again struggled with breathing and thought I was going to pass out but got through it. The pulls didn't feel too bad either. 1" deficit speed deadlift 150kg + 32kg of chains x 5 sets of 2 After that my mid back was absolutely wrecked so tried out some of donnie thomsons body tempering. I have to admit that before hand I was quite sceptical however it did wonders for my back and I'm feeling much better after it. Decent session tonight all things considered. Hopefully I'll manage to get pressing back on track on Saturday. | ||

Log was pretty decent and my top set felt good. Otherwise nothing exciting but decent enough. Hoping to be back to normality on Monday. | ||

Nothing amazing today but a decent enough session. Relatively happy with where my deadlift is at the moment, still work to be done before the qualifier but things are in track. | ||

As a result I had a very sore and swollen left ball which hampered my training a bit. The moral of the story is, don't let a 50 something kg dog punch you in the nuts. However managed to get back in the gym by Thursday. Thursday 10 december Log ftoh 85kg x 2 sets of 4 90kg x 3 97.5kg x 2 Axle bench 60kg x 10 80kg x 10 100kg x 5 Add slingshot 100kg x 10 That was all, post night shift and with sore balls so about as mediocre as I was expecting. Sunday 13 December Front squat 150kg x 3, rep pb. Form wasn't awful but was starting to go a bit so decided to drop the weight a bit and up the reps. 120kg x 2 sets of 8 Safety bar squat 65kg x 10 105kg x 10 125kg x 2 sets of 8 That was all I had time for today. Better session today. Hopefully I'll manage to get things back on track next week. | ||

A reasonable if unspectacular session, in between two lateshifts so wasn't expecting much and actually ended up better than I was expecting. | ||

Training has been pretty poor for the last week or two so I'm pleased to be back on track. I was managing to keep my reps about 1 every 10 seconds on the log so I'm happy with the pacing of that too. | ||

embarrasingly poor bench Member 2684, 4043 posts SQ 240, BP 135, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | Friday 18 December Farmers 90kg x 3 runs of 20m (put duck tape on the handles to make it harder on the grip) 100kg x 2 runs of 20m (no tape) 110kg x 3 or 4 runs of 20m 120kg x 2 holds Didn't have time for squats so did Axle bear complex 65kg x 4 (20 reps total) Axle klokov complex 65kg x 3 (15 reps total) Not a bad session today. Did the farmers with the plate loadable handles as they should be more similar to the ones in my next comp. Also taped the handles up for some sets as I believe the handles of the ones in the comp are painted with gloss paint so will be slippy as f**k. The complexes opened up the lungs a bit but would rather have squatted if I'd had the time. | ||

Had another couple if reps in me though if I'd had to) 250kg x 3 1" deficit speed deadlift 160kg +32kg of chain x 6 sets of 3 Bent over row 160kg x 2 sets of 8 Didn't have time for any more. Really good session today. The suited pulls were hard but I wasn't on the limit and could have squeezed out a couple more reps in a comp. Happy that training is back on track after a couple of crap weeks. | ||
