dont sweat it its your first comp. Like you say, dont take this the wrong way im certainly no elite lifter, but you arnt exactly gonna set the world on fire so just have fun and dont bomb!

I wouldnt worry about cutting weight, having set openers, any of that s**t. You dont have any equipment to worry about, so tell them really easy openers at the weigh in then just warm up and see how you feel and then let the judges know if you think you wanna open higher.

Wow, attitude of a true champion there! Isnt that what sport is all about? You try, you fail, you come back try again...

I dont see why its retarded to have 500kg above your head...its no different to me having 180kg above my head is it? We're both attempting to lift new PB's.

Im not a huge fan of the WPO 'bench only' circus to be honest but I really think the above poitns apply to any sport where you're pushing yourslef to the limit.

thanks chaps...the weights are all so easy though. I just hope it works.

I've decided to do the Welsh Cup on the 17th with no build up whatsoever apart from this Sheiko preparatory cycle so I suppose we shall soon see.

Damn i wants that 650 bad.

A lot of volume today but very, very easy weights again. I hope this yields some actual strength gains.

My training cycle got cut short to 5 weeks instead of 8 because of the competition I'm doing next weekend
My trrainign cycle is a simple 8 week cycle my new training buddies have me on with weights/reps changing each week dependant on a % of my intended 1RM
The comp is next Sunday (10th) , the East Midlands unequipped


yeah good old liner periodisation, thats what i like best for comp build ups too. Good luck.

Fats are bullit.

If you dont belive me ask Jon Beradi or Fats Domino.

250g of fats is bullit.

You'd just scale down your amount of carbs accordingly.
