That's strange considering the earlier claims of 470 or whatever. Is it possible Terry could be trying to stay under the radar coming in, and then pull a huge number on the day? He is a seasoned veteran after all

It wouldnt work. He was very vocal about his plans to pull a new WR, no way anyone is forgetting such claims.

You think the reason you keep hurting yourself could be that you keep putting yourself in mechanically weak positions just to make lifts harder?

30s - thumbless.

4/7

1 clean log press

85 * 3, 3,
105 * 2, 2,
115 * 1, 1.

Dead stop incline press

100 * 5, 120 * 3, 130 * 1,
105 * 5, 125 * 3, 135 * 1.

Not a bad session, but the difficulty in pressing the monster log means i havent put a heavy weight overhead for quite a while, so i think i will add in a 2nd pressing session to do some heavier reps on an oly bar or standard log.

Mikeneto said:Less than a week until we argue over who pulled 465kg the fastest.

I reckon these athletes will pull 465kg

Hall, Benni and Jerry Pritchett.

Thor and Hollands on 440kg.

Loz 420kg

I disagree with most of these, and will add the following,

Felix, 440 deadlift and 2nd to Thor overall.

Hollands had best get 465 the way he was talking a month or so ago. Loz might also sneak a 440 PB, he looks to be in pretty decent form, and has got his weight back up.

What is semi-sumo?

If hands are inside thighs its sumo?
If hands are outside thighs its conventional?

What am i overlooking here?

3/7

Yoke

240 * 20m, 20m,
280 * 20m,
320 * 20m,
360 * 20m,
380 * 20m.

Frame carry

255 * 20m,
295 * 20m,
315 * 20m.

Tyre flip

280 * 5, 5,
280 * 14 - PB.

Decent session. Yoke was a bit slow, but better than it has been.
Grip felt solid on frame, and tyre was good. Final set was a rep PB amd definitely had me breathing hard.

Jerk boxes would obscure the view of the side referees surely?

You could probably make a metal frame to achieve the same purpose without much obstruction of view. Then just throw a few sheets of plywood/matting on top to absorb the impact.

It would also be against the rules though so its fairly unlikely.

1/7

Beltless paused cambered bar squats

145 * 3, 3,
165 * 3,
175 * 3, 3.

Beltless paused front squats

140 * 3, 3, 3, 3, 3.

Minimal knee pain today, which was nice. Lower back and hams also werent too sore after deadlifts.
Squats all moved pretty quick, should get 200 on the cambered bar next week, and 5 plates a side for back squats.
Weight is climbing, over 20'7 now, so starting to close in on my usual 'resting' weight of 21st.

400 then 465??
He should probably do 430 in-between.

He might sneak a 430 in on the warm up bar, but i think it more likely he will do 400/440/465/500

Based on previous years everyone will have to do the 400 opener.
