This has got to be THE best tie-breaker ever! Grin

Beaten to the punch! But my thoughts exactly.

Great progress with the dieting, 10kg off and solid strength levels throughout, be interesting to see if it stays that way for the whole diet, any idea of a "target" bodyweight?

I like the look of this, I'm looking to change my pressing and deadlifting routine after my next comp and this may be a contender for one or both, though I suspect 5 heavy deadlift singles would pretty much prevent any sort of weight for reps afterwards.

If you haven't read "the nazis a warning from history" you should.

I recall reading that at some point, an interesting read.

Last book I read (finished it on my lunch break today) was the 5th book in the Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones).

Not sure what my next book will be, planning to hit up Amazon before the night is over and see if anything takes my fancy, if not I've a couple of old ones sat on my shelves that haven't been read for a while.

Didn't have my gym bag so was limited, crazy how dependent we become on kit.

This is an interesting point, what exercises would you have been doing if you had your kit to hand, and what piece of kit do you regard as essential for doing those exercises?

Great work on the benching, a paused 170 is something id love to match!

Aye, it was a canny movie, Brad Pitt played an awesome part, especially in the asylum.

Other than a brief trip to asda my day has consisted of watching Rules of Engagement and eating, and now we're making the switch to movies for the evening, starting with something called 12 monkeys.

Great squatting there

Well done fella, shame to miss out on top 3, log looked fairly comfortable, especially given it was an unfamiliar log on an uneven surface, bit more practice and Big Ash wont be the only one putting 150 overhead.

i love reading this log, your work rate is phenomenal. Glad to see your strength is showing signs of improving to the level it deserves with such a work rate!

2nd rep looked tough, real brave to go for the 3rd, and solid execution.

However this thread has proper made my day! I do find your posts extremely entertaining although highly irrational, so do please carry on!

I'm gonna disagree here, at least on the carry on part, i wont try to deny that this thread is home to many laughs, but it seems to have gone waaay off point, maybe leave the discussion relating to Pauls training to his excellent training log so every other thread on here doesnt end up getting derailed into discussions of carpet squatting and #savagegains?

Its hard to beat myprotein, especially if you buy in bulk when they do 20% off sales. I generally just stick to big bags of unflavoured, but some of their flavours are pretty tasty, especially the apple crumble and custard one.
