Front squats

100 * 2, 2,
140 * 2,
180 * 1,
210 * 1.

Cambered bar strict press

65 * 3, 3,
75 * 8, 8, 5.

Cambered bar push press

75 * 3, 3,
95 * 2,
100 * 2 emom * 5.

Side laterals

14 * 8, 8, 10.

Skullcrushers

40 * 8, 8, 8.

Felt pretty fatigued today from events sunday and driving all over Yorkshire on Saturday to pick up some farmers and a sandbag.
Stalled slightly on the 210 front squat,
dropped a few reps on the final set of strict press, and needed a couple of tries to get the final rep on the 4th set of push presses with 100kg.
Been off work all day today though, with just a couple of little jobs to do around the house, so hopefully I'll be a lot fresher tomorrow.

Erm...straps on a front squat aren't exactly known for tiring the grip, are they?

I was struggling to see the connection? ?

For front squats if a comfy grip is the issue you can use straps and a clean grip while working on her mobility.
I used straps on front squats for a while after a shoulder injury.

Farmers walk

80 * 25m, 25m,
120 * 25m, 15m,
145 * 25m, 25m.

10m loading

2 120kg kegs + 80kg sandbag,
2 120kg kegs, +80kg sandbag + 110kg tyre.

Good session today, strength is coming back week on week, grip is just about back to its best for the first time since last Christmas. Fitness is better than ever, and despite the weight loss strength is almost back to its best.

FAT_SAM said:So is anyone else watching this on channel 5? Just had a catch watch up on demand now after work.

I can't take Page seriously with the lisp and 150kg incline for a single.

I thought the ease in which Glenn Ross lifted the log was epic. THE DADDY is cool as f**k.

Glenn ross lifted the empty log, its hardly comparable.

Squats

100 * 3, 3,
140 * 2,
180 * 1,
220 * 1.

Single leg calf raises, 3 * 10.

14" block pulls

200 * 8,
220 * 8,
240 * 8.

Wide grip chin ups, 3 * 5.

Today was brutal, had physio this morning which mostly focused on my back and the back of my legs. Following this up with squats and deadlifts was probably not the wisest move. Im basically dead now.

'2lb a day' is a big clue: there's one popular 'supplement' notorious for inducing bloat like that.
keep an eye on your blood pressure and watch your sodium intake, paul.

I miss supplementation

Paused front squat

100 * 3, 3,
140 * 2,
180 * 1,
200 * 1.

Axle clean + press

75 * 3, 3,
105 * 3,
115 * 1,
125 * 1,
127.5 * 1.

Front raises

14 * 10, 10,
20 * 5.

Paused incline press

100 * 3, 3,
120 * 1 emom * 10 (doubled the final set).

Really happy with tonight's session.
The front squat was a bit harder than the rest of my daily maxes have been, closing in on RPE 8 i would say. Starting to get the hang of squatting every session so will take things up a bit in a couple of next weeks sessions.
The axle press was much better than expected, the final lift was easier than any of the 120s i hit last week. Pretty sure i could've doubled it.

Cambered bar squats

105 * 3, 3,
145 * 2,
185 * 1,
205 * 1,
225 * 1 - PB on this bar?

Neutral grip chins, 7, 5, 7.

1 leg calf raises, 12, 12, 15.

Barbell rows

140 * 5, 5,
160 * 3 emom * 5.

Db preacher curls

15 * 10, 10,
19 * 6.

Hard session today, back is still a little fatigued from friday i suspect. Got everything done though, and i suspect the 225 is a PB on the cambered bar (i will check this log to be sure).

FAT_SAM said:It depends how much he gets out of wraps. Most of the best lifters use wraps due to a misconception that they prevent injury making raw with wraps the more competitive class.

What high calibre lifter has said this?
Im aware thats the common opinion among gym bros, but I find it hard to believe anyone with the ability to hit a good squat (we'll say 300+) believes a set of wraps will stop them getting injured if it all goes tits up.

Front squats

100 * 2, 2,
140 * 2,
180 * 1,
200 * 1.

Cambered bar strict press

85 * 3, 3, 3, 3.

Cambered bar push press

95 * 2 emom * 5 mins.

Leaning side laterals

14 * 8, 8, 8.

Skullcrushers

40 * 5, 5, 5.

A fairly decent session today.
The front squat was as quick a lift as ive ever done with 200kg, felt like i could rep it all day. Another week or so and i will start to up the volume on one or two of my squat warm ups.
Pressing felt decent, though i still feel the cambered bar makes things far harder than anything else.
Skullcrushers were a nice change, but ive not done them in the garage before and set myself up all wrong, will find a more spacious place to do them next time.

Always awesome to watch lift, but something is a bit off when your opening squat and opening bench are basically the same weight.
