Enjoyed this, need an extra roid next time.

im pretty confident this was meant to say an 'extra round next time', but damn if it isnt my favourite Freudian slip of all time.

What high calibre lifter has said this?
Im aware thats the common opinion among gym bros, but I find it hard to believe anyone with the ability to hit a good squat (we'll say 300+) believes a set of wraps will stop them getting injured if it all goes tits up.

21/11

Front squats

100 * 2, 2,
140 * 2,
180 * 1,
200 * 1.

Cambered bar strict press

85 * 3, 3, 3, 3.

Cambered bar push press

95 * 2 emom * 5 mins.

Leaning side laterals

14 * 8, 8, 8.

Skullcrushers

40 * 5, 5, 5.

A fairly decent session today.
The front squat was as quick a lift as ive ever done with 200kg, felt like i could rep it all day. Another week or so and i will start to up the volume on one or two of my squat warm ups.
Pressing felt decent, though i still feel the cambered bar makes things far harder than anything else.
Skullcrushers were a nice change, but ive not done them in the garage before and set myself up all wrong, will find a more spacious place to do them next time.

Always awesome to watch lift, but something is a bit off when your opening squat and opening bench are basically the same weight.

This covers it for me, strength shop do some good stuff, their logs are not on that list though.
Simons logs are top quality work, so if you are after a new log thats where to go.

17/11

Paused front squat

100 * 2, 2,
140 * 2,
160 * 1,
180 * 1.

Axle 1 clean + press

65 * 3, 3,
95 * 3, 3,
115 * 1,
120 * 1, 1, 1.

Kettlebell front raises

14 * 10, 10, 10.

Paused incline press

100 * 3, 3, 3, 3,
110 * 3, 3, 3, 3.

First session back on push press reminded me of one thing, power cleaning my 60mm axle is f**king horrid. Bright side, comp axles are always easier.
The press itself wasnt too hard, though legs were a bit sluggish (not a surprise after yoke and 3 lots of squatting in the last 5 days).

Team deadlift session planned for tomorrow, should see me back pulling 300 without too much drama.

It depends how much he has left. He is obviously getting old and father time waits for nobody, as they say in boxing.
However he has had a good rest and I imagine he will come prepared for one last big year.
I just hope we don't see the great man lose to guys, he use to dominate at his peak. I hope he retires soon. Would be a little sad seeing Z struggle to make WSM finals and place very badly.

I agree with all of this.

I wouldn't be against seeing him move to masters comps though to stay in the sport even when he launches his political career.

Im struggling to see a set of events that would let Z beat Shaw or Thor in a WSM final. Arnolds with its 2 overhead events maybe, but not Worlds.

Ed was right up there bar the frame carry poor show.
hypothetically had ed won that, knocked shaw and thor down 1 point
and done identically on all the other events he'd finished joint top with briansulina.
basically frame carry is to Ed, what making the REAL world's strongest man at the time, OD wilson, run around a f**king track with some stupid hod carrying ruck sack thing was Tongue

Thats interesting maths, but even on his best day, with a fully functioning hand, Ed wasnt going to win frame carry.
The debate comes from whether or not the hand caused ed to drop points on any other events, and if it did, would those points have changed the order among the top 3?
