been watching loads of videos od strongmen squatting and most squat very high! even some elite. obviously its not powerlifting but isnt it more beneficial going ass to the floor? ill find some examples and post...

no idea mate...

but also, on a related note, some finnish guys were saying to use paused box front squats as deadlift assistance to break off the floor... anything in it?

For me this is the main problem with squat as a strongman event!

i should of elaborated. what i was getting at was ive seen alot of strongmen squat high in training for reps and for singles. is there a place for this? or is it more beneficial to always squat ass to floor?

ive even seen powerlifters squat high at times. i wouldnt of thought this would be ideal myself as your not strengthening the full range of the movement or the knee. jut wondered if it has its benefits/cross-over to ass to floor squats like some people say suits do.

i've always squatted low as !! , being 24+ stone an then having 300kg+ on ya back helps loads to get depth in trainin an at comps !! lol
