I used to, go there every so often now, have they got rid of the bumper plates? Training oly lifts with metal plates is no fun

Looking good mate! I'd do a lot of practice from the high hang. Think this is the best way to learn to use the hips and get under fast!

Many different ways to learn I guess. I've never done any snatch (or clean) from a high hang. Personally I feel whilst learning you're better off concentrating on the full movement.

same.

My coach has never had me hang snatch (and im a beginner) nor do any of the more experienced lifters.

But each to their own, learning lifts works different for everyone i guess.

Only advice Happy i doubt what I did was perfect but be found its the easiest way to teach people when to use their hips. Particularly when they've done deadlifts for years before hand.

My experiences are smal though and I am by no means speaking gospel! Happy

They look quite nice, to my untrained eye. You bored of powerlifting already pal?

Put some weight on the bar..... your technique looks okay but the 40kg seems very light, with some added weight you will then see more clearly where there is a breakdown in your technique....identify then work from there.
