How about if they then get their title taken away from them because they failed a drugs test?

Let's not start this again, successful lifters should be applauded not forced out of their gym because of some immature weakling

oh yeah i forgot to say that as a consilation for us who have been there from the start he has just bought another 5000sq foot room to house conans ,fingals, car deadsx2 ,viking, hercules and every other concievable strongman kit ................... WHAT A LEGEND Cool

I'm about 45 mins away but am considering training there full time. I already visit every other Sunday there and it's by far the best gym I have ever trained at. Lynton is a legend.

No deadlifting seems to be becoming more widespread. Arguably the single most effective compound exercise you can do and "gyms" ban it.

it is bo***cks and s**t like this winds me up. pt's prob only had a go at Dad for not been qualified cos none of their clients ever achieved anything and their jealous.

i dont feel sorry for them though, they'll find a better gym that appreciates their custom.

What annoys me is that the lycra clad fitness crowd do all kinds of things that could be dangerous to themselves without even knowing it, and also ridiculous excersises that their fancy PTs show them that provide little in results and the main purpose of which is to make the PT look knowledgable. With all this in mind do we go around tell these folk what there doing wrong and how they should be training? Yet these PTs with their excersise balls and other gimics feel that they can come up tell a guy deadlifting or squatting good weight that its not good for him and he need a spot and this and that and whatever! We respect their goals but they do not repect ours!

Tbh I'm more likley to confront a pt and call then a f**kin idiot than I am a clueless Joe public

I agree but its the priciple that really pisses me of, as strength trainers were more than willing to live and let live with people who arent training for the same goal as us, yet put the other way round the same approach is often not true.

I left my previous gym as i was told off for squatting, the owner told me there are other better ways to improve my legs than squats and that if i were to book in for a ''re-program'' than on of their PTs could advise me what to do. Told her she was wrong and besides that im trying to improve my squat not my legs. I left there and then
