True that! People do love it and I think this comp' will be great for "neutral" spectators with only 12 guys and a fast turn-around (don't worry lads - I will give you a break after the farmers/drag event!)... so I hope they put in and we gets lots of local support.

All looks great Ben, good job. Its obvious a lot of work has gone into this already, I'm sure it will all pay off on the day.

I just wanted to raise the issue of running order on the events, obviously the first event will be picked out of a hat/randomly generated....but what are peoples feelings on using reverse order on the following events?

I know Will choose not to use it at ESM, which must have been a concious decision (he has all the technology to do it with ease). I personally feel that going last is a big advantage in some events and should be given to those who earnt it.

The system Will used (moving top 3 to bottom, or visa versa) will always mean some people come out better than others. Someone might be 3rd on an event where running order doesn't matter and then towards the bottom for the rest. Equally someone might have to go after there nearest rival in 5 out of 6 events.

I feel reverse order not only gives people the chance to be a little tactical (i think that's a good thing) but means that people can know what there closest rivals are doing throughout the field and use that as motivation for extra reps/faster times.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but it is kinda relevant here! I realise that it probably doesn't make a massive difference overall, but everything else has been planned right down to the finest details!

Good! But I was after people's opinions on it as much as anything.

Yes we can do whatever Ben needs. I think both systems have their merits and disadvantages. The reason we use the shifting order method at our comps is to stop the situation where the tops guys go last and end up 'doing what they need' and then just walking away. I just think its better for the show when all the athletes have to go balls out in as many of the events as possible. but yeah, we'll just do as instructed by Ben.

That was done for the Southern qualifier, which meant that Freddie was always after me so knew how many reps ect to do, even if I had beaten him in the event before. Reverse order makes more sense! Rewarded for doing well in an event

I can see the merits of both systems but have always opted for reverse order of the preceding event and will do the same for the Brits as this is what I prefer as a competitor. Another option I have always wondered about is to go off overall points so that when you get a head to head event you get the guys who most closely matched/placed at that point in the comp... an thoughts on this?
