Thurs heavy bench 60 x5 100 x5 145 x2 shirt on- been gradually twisting the sleeves each week in order to tighten up the chest panel, this relies upon the sleeves being pretty tight in the first place. This week Jim put them on more twisted than an Austrian at a cellar contructors conference! 185 x2 nowhere near touching 210 x1 almost touched and solid pressout 220 x1touched with pause,not a pefect line but finished it. upright rows dumbell rows rotator cuff work did the assistance work a little bit lighter today Good session for both of us tonight | ||

Scotbasher - forever Member 59, 2115 posts | As the lifter looks down his sleeve the seam will be twisted anticlockwise (on the right arm), try putting the maybe an inch out of position whren sliding it up the arms. This has the effect of tightening the chest panel up, though it requires more control to keep it in the groove. | ||

Scotbasher - forever Member 59, 2115 posts | Lancs and Cheshire championships Squat 227.5 felt ok 235 ok 240 a good call -same as my last contest and prob wasn't worth a lot more on the day Bench 205 lifted arse-it's never happened before 205- passed 210 - fail -a mess but pressed it out once again I've left my best presses in the gym Deadlift 242.5 -pass 255 pass 265. Personal best 2.5kg on my previous. Total 710 equal PB. I need to neaten the bench up, the last few contests it has been nothing short of a shadow of my previous attempts, my 217.5 PB was 12months since. This cycle I didn't squat too great but was satisfied with them today. Very happy with deadlift. I think I'll do the English champs later in the year and I may guest at YNE in Nov instead of the the NW in Dec. It was fairly hard work this weekend setting the whole thing up and lifting Jim and the Intershape staff were very helpful though. | ||
