Cleans 40 5rx2 60 x2 80 x1 90 x1 100 x1 110 x1 120 x1 127.5 x1 132.5 x1 - pretty tough one this one. More of a technical issue than lack of strength, but I suppose these things will happen when focusing on other things Deadlifts 160 x2 185 x2 200 x2 - this seemed pretty hard which doesn't bode well next the next few weeks! Speed deads 162.5 8x3r - not sure how fast these were but I was at least trying to focus on pulling fast Bench 60 x8+5 80 x3 95 x3 107.5 6x3r Rack press 115 x 6+5.5....I was only moving the bar 6inches. How on earth I could break from the pins but not finish I've got no idea. Second time I've not hit the prescribed reps on this. My triceps are obviously as weak as piss! | ||

Member 2926, 6050 posts SQ 217.5, BP 107.5, DL 225550.0 kgs @ 86kgs UnEq | Snatch 40 x3 50 x3 60 x2 70 x1 80 x1 87.5x F + F - second rep was such brute force and ignorance that I ended up doing a lunge but with my knee on the front leg touching the floor 92.5xF+1 x F+1 x F+1 - well, at least I was consistent in missing each of the 1st reps!!! 85 x3 - better but my right knee caved in. Think maybe I need to stretch my lower body out a bit. Back Squats 80 x5 120 x3 140 x3 160 3x6r - felt pretty hard especially compared to the 2x10 a couple of weeks ago. I don't think I'd have managed a set of 10 Strict overhead press 40 x8 50 x6 60 x4 70 8x3r - decided to keep it light and focus on keeping the rep speed up. I've been trying to do some exercises for my serratus anterior to stop my shoulder blade "winging" out but my left hand side feels really unstable overhead. Hoping to get a bit more sleep tonight and rest some of the fatigue away. Oh, and get more foam rolling in and some stretching. Think this fatigue might continue whilst I doing this Coan/Philippi routine. OH HUM!! | ||

Cheers Ben, I was just slow, tight in my shoulders and just generally blurghhh. It's the first time in probably 12-months were I've missed so many lifts in one session. Oh, and I'd love a 245kg Squat and 265kg Deadlift.......Nice!!! | ||

Pretty pleased with my sesh, although I think I'm going to be waking up with some aches and pains tonight! Axle - clean & press **disclaimer - never used an axle before so this was mainly to get to grips with the whole technique involved 70 4x1 80 3x1 90 3x1 100 F+F+2x1 - failed the fist two on the press. The axle I was using had quite a short bar which meant I was ending up with my grip too narrow for the press. A quick adjustment of grip and I nailed the next two. Pretty easy as well. And I only pinched my flab once......still hurt like a mutha though Yoke & Farmers - 20m each way 60 + 60 140 + 60 80 + 140 180 + 80 - felt fairly fast which was the main aim. Did the full 40m run in 27secs. First time ever with the farmers and felt like the balance was perfect on the last run. Back inside and started doing some wide grip pulldowns. Just done a couple of sets when Milsy pulled me up for some 18' deads. Never really done these with anything heavy.....until today (it was heavy for me!) 70 x3 120 x3 160 x3 200 x2 250 x1 270 x1 290 x1 300 xF ...but actually still Just wished I could have managed the three 0 cos that sounds badass! lol home and on with some foam rolling | ||

My hips were incredibly sore and I was feeling pretty tight all over so wasn't really confident about today's session. The one saving grace is that we had done 18" pulls on Saturday and my lockout is the strongest part of my lift. Power cleans 50 x5 70 x3 80 x3 90 4x3 + 8 - decided to do the high rep set to work on my stamina a bit. A couple of the cleans were full ones. My body simply reverted to doing them automatically for at least a couple of reps! Deadlift 140 x3 185 x1 212.5 x2 - pretty ground out reps. There wasn't a whole lot left in the tank on these. The thought of 225x2 next Monday is a bit of a worry. 175 6x3r - not exactly speed pulls, but I was concentrating on pulling as fast as I could and they seemed to get faster towards the end. Bench 60 x8+5 85 x5 100 x3 112.5x1 120 x1 joint PB 125 F 100 x5 (paused - which I don't normally do) pissed about the 125. Came well of the chest which makes me think I DEFINITELY need to do something about my piss poor tricep strength single arm tricep pushdowns 57 2x8r each arm 64 x8 each arm should have been doing rack presses but couldn't be arsed, especially since I should have been taking it easy on the bench today. I blame Milsy because I didn't want to look like a 9yr old boy whilst benching with him!! | ||

I'm pretty confident with all weeks up to week 8 where i need to double 252.5kg - 2 1/2kg under max pb! Not sure how much i'll get out of this second cycle of it but i do like it. You'll get that lift next week mate, be confident and aggressive with it! | ||

Hopefully it will pass quickly and won't affect next week. You must be mental running it back to back!! Well, after reading all the banter on the ESM u90's thread I thought I'd see what I could manage on the squat. Probably not my greatest idea seeing as I'd already had to ibuprofen myself up cos I was feeling s**tty. Back squat 60 x10 80 x6 100 x6 130 x4 160 x3 180 x10+1 stumble (wraps and a belt for this set) may have passed in a strongman comp as I didn't need helping with the rep, but from a safety point of view I s**t myself! 180 x10 - better set. Managed to compensate myself from that falling forward sensation. I was just absolutely goosed, however, this could well be a set/rep PB so can't complain too much.
