MikeBromby1 | Best olympic collars for axle bars | 10-01-2011 @ 18:45
Member 2021, 556 posts SQ 220, BP 145, DL 302.5667.5 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | Any one know any that fit properly and stay on securely? The spring collars don't fit and the L-screw collars come off and are a pain to even get tight in the first place. Seen these lock-jaw collars but they are expensive! Any help would be geatly appreciated!

Member 674, 320 posts SQ 185, BP 112.5, DL 230527.5 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | If you're using a scaf bar as a axle then it will only be 48mm so most collars won't fit. I use the same method as JT those s**tty old wrist straps have never been so useful

Any help would be geatly appreciated! I used l-screw collars on my scaffolding bar until last weekend. I replaced the l-screw bit with two bolts from B&Q and tightened them up with a spanner. Works a treat and cost about £3 for the pair of bolts.
