He had the bar too low. Penalty of 1/2 a sec is fine IMO cause he kept moving at a constant pace and then repicked it.

The 500lb deadlift is out there ..... Member 772, 191 posts SQ 202.5, BP 142.5, DL 230 575.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq	I'd hardly call that a tiny slide, it was probably a 1/3 of the overall distance. I've never used a yoke though, so I dunno how much of a difference it makes.

Surely a large part of the yoke is maintaining your balance? If he gained an unfair advantage through sliding, it should be penalised, deliberate or not.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22054 posts	If it had been set to the correct height (more ground clearance) then there wouldn't have been a problem. If he'd lost balance he'd have dropped it and needed to lift it again before moving on.
